Very helpful, nice, and professional. Gave a lot of suggestions and options for our windows, and put in the window in very little time but very well done. Took care to make sure our house was clean and we were happy with the work. Would go to them again for sure if we needed a new window or door again.

We hired Andrew to do a wall removal, beam installation, new kitchen and floors on our main floor. Andrew is a really honest and nice guy, and really instilled a sense of confidence in the project for us. One thing Andrew could improve on is his time estimates. Though some factors added to the delay of the project that were outside of his control, other times things would be done later than promised. There were a few details that we had to follow up with Andrew on a few times to get fixed, but in the end, he did got them all done. He was also really great at finding sub contractors, such as plumbers and countertop supplier, who could do the job well and at an affordable cost. Andrew's rates were also very reasonable given the scope of the project. Overall, we were really happy with the end result.

We hired David to do a design for our kitchen and dining room renovation. David accommodated his schedule to come earlier than expected to help us get a design in before a sale at Ikea, and also mocked up some designs directly in the Ikea planning tool for us to review. He thought of a layout that we hadn't thought of that we thought was great and we went with. He also submitted the permits and arranged for engineering drawings very efficiently and with more than enough time to start our renovations. I would recommend David to anyone thinking about doing renovations on their house.

I had a leaky bathtub faucet and a clogged drain. Ari came over and fixed both promptly. He also came by the next day at no charge when it seemed like there was a problem with my water pressure (it was just a temporary thing from having the main valve off for an extended period.)

My insurance company mandated that for my new house, all outlets that had knob and tube wiring had a GFI outlet. I believed this to be the case, so they required an inspection from a licensed electrician stating it to be the case. I called a lot of the top electricians I found on Home Stars, and most of them said they didn't have the time, or that the GFIs didn't make K+B any safer (which I knew, but didn't care, since the insurance company was asking for it regardless.) One said he would write me the letter, without actually inspecting anything, for $600. John was the first one I called who actually understood what I wanted to do, could make time for me, and was really nice about everything. He did a quick inspection of my outlets, and wrote a letter to the insurance company, for a grand total of about $200. Great service, and I'll definitely contact him if I need any major electrical work done.

I got a Groupon for these guys for $25 for $75 worth of carpet cleaning (basically one room). Seemed like a good deal. I didn't need it until about six months after I purchased it. I tried calling and leaving a voicemail, and got no response. I then tried emailing. After my second email, I got a response back saying when they had available, and I said I'd take that spot. I didn't receive a response back, but assumed that I was booked. When I didn't receive a response, I called in the day before the cleaning, and actually got through to talk to someone. They were very apologetic, but said they had no record of an appointment for me for that day and were booked up. They made another appointment for me three weeks out which she verbally confirmed. I didn't receive a confirmation the day before though, as she said I would. I tried calling, and again, left a voicemail to which I got no response. I waited for two hours for someone to show up for the appointment, and no one showed up, and no one response. This time, when I tried calling, the voicemail box was full. I asked Groupon for a refund of the Groupon. Thankfully, Groupon itself was very great about it. They wrote back immediately saying the Groupon was refunded and they gave me an additional $10 for my troubles. I would definitely advise people stay away from these guys, and to really research companies on Homestars or elsewhere that are offering coupons on daily deals sites.

Sears usually has pretty good deals on stuff, and we saved about $700 off our fridge and stove through a sale they had. We also got it on a no interest payment plan. (We had the cash, but at no interest it's better to hang on to the money in the bank and make interest off it while you pay it off.) The delivery took at least a couple of weeks to arrive. When it did, the stove was really banged up and we had to wait another week for a new one. The fridge also had some minimal scratches and they were nice enough to give us $100 off for those scratches. When the new stove came, it too was damaged, so we had to wait another two weeks for a new one. They originally wanted to give us a $40 gift certificate to make up for this, but we complained and they gave us another $150 credit. All in all, it was okay to get the $250 off but it would have been nicer to just have the stuff there in good condition on the day it was promised.

Went into this place on a whim after passing it by. Really great selection of liquidation furniture. Got a really nice sectional price for pretty cheap. The 'original price' was listed as $4000 and we paid $1400 delivery and taxes included. I know 4000 is probably a little over-exaggerated but this was at least a $3000 sectional. Delivered quickly and the delivery guys were good and wore protection over their shoes to not much up the carpet.

Really nice guy, did a great job of cleaning the ducts up. He accidentally broke a window while putting it back, but he replaced it at his own cost and didn't present us with a bill until it was replaced and fixed.
