Joel came out today to service our fireplaces. One wasn't working (turned out the wires had come loose). Both were serviced, he gave me an indication of how much life was left in a few of the key components, everything was cleaned and the black backing painted. I also appreciated the phone call the day before and the morning of the appointment so that I knew exactly when Joel was coming. Highly recommended, and I'll use them again.

Brent (owner) came to our house on time to do the initial scope and provide the quote. Quote was fair and competitive. His crew showed up on time for the install, and in discussions with them it was obvious they really knew what they were doing. Cleaned up after themselves, they were fast and efficient. They "get" strong customer service. I would have no problem recommending Shift Air to anyone for their AC/HVAC needs. Bruce J in Calgary

Has been about 3 years since I had anyone out to do a cleaning of the furnace and vents, found Keith through Homestars. Did a very thorough inspection of the furnace, pulled the blower out to inspect and clean it. Spent time doing all of the vents, didn't rush the job at all. Keith is extremely well versed in all things venting/heating, we had some interesting discussions about our furnace, gas water tank, furnace filters etc. Always nice to be dealing with a company where you are dealing with the person directly that does the work (as opposed to most companies like this where some 20 year old kid comes in to do the work, and doesn't really care). I'll be having Keith back for my next cleaning and inspection.

First off, they showed up on the date and time they said they would (always appreciated). One of the windows in our house did not close properly. Mike and one of his crew members came out, inspected it, took a few things out which we cleaned, explained a few things to me, and now working like a charm. Most importantly, they gave me great, cost savings advice. We were prepared to completely replace the window -- and they were very quick to point out that there was no need to, just needed to do a cleaning and remove a part that wasn't necessary and all would be good. They could have easily upsold me to a full window replacement, but really were pushing to just do the simple repair. I also asked them about caulking between our windows/stucco since we have had a bit of water leakage during big storms. They took the time to explain to me that this probably wouldn't help at all with the water leak -- and gave me a few recommendations on things I could look into on my own (ie culprit is probably where the deck is meeting the house). Once again, they could have easily said "sure, caulking is probably the issue" and upsold me to caullk everything -- but they were honest in their assessment. I totally appreciated their absolute honesty through the entire engagement, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
