I recently had the pleasure of working with New Canadian Drain & Plumbing Ltd. for a significant drain repair project within my home, and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism, efficiency, and expertise throughout the entire process. From the moment I contacted them, Shendon, the Field Manager, impressed me with his professionalism and knowledge. He patiently answered all of my questions and alleviated any concerns I had about the extensive repair work that needed to be done. His proactive approach and quick decision-making were instrumental in ensuring that the project progressed smoothly. The scope of the job was substantial, requiring the excavation of my entire basement to access the broken clay pipes beneath the house. Despite the daunting nature of the task, Shendon and his team worked tirelessly and efficiently to complete the repairs in a remarkably short amount of time. What truly sets New Canadian Drain & Plumbing Ltd. apart is their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. During the course of the repair work, Shendon identified an additional issue with my backwater valve, a problem that could have resulted in sewage flooding my basement. Without hesitation, he swiftly organized additional workers to address the issue, effectively averting a potential disaster. In Shendon's absence, Vali seamlessly stepped in to oversee the project, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and according to plan. Additionally, Estatsan and Michael were invaluable members of the team, providing assistance and support every step of the way. Overall, my experience with New Canadian Drain & Plumbing Ltd. was exceptional from start to finish. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to customer service are truly commendable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing or drain services. Thank you to Shendon, Vali, Estatsan, Michael, and the entire team for a job exceptionally well done!

Boss Trades did an amazing job! We found ourselves in a very difficult position when our original contractor removed our existing eavestroughs and never came back. Unfortunately, every contactor we called was booked solid for months. My friend called Dan at Boss Trades and explained our situations. Although Boss Trades were booked as well, Dan told her that he considered us an emergency and would make the time. Even though the weather did not cooperate, Dan had his crew out within a week’s timeframe to complete the work. Very professional job, we are so happy with the end result. If you’re looking for an honest contractor, who knows the value of customer service and has fair prices - Dan and his team at Boss Trades is your contractor. I would happily recommend them to my friends and family. Debbie - Etobicoke

We have no previous knowledge of this company but when we met Kevin he put our concerns at ease. His concepts and recommendations and his patience to detail allow us to design a back patio that looks fantastic. Kevin went over the details of the job and there were no surprises. We make a few additions and they were very accommodating. The crews that work on the job were very pleasant and professional. We will enjoy our new backyard for years to come.

One year later had a breakin. The robbers went though the steel door in less than a minute. They were able to get a jimmy tool and bend the side panel support because is it only made of plastic. Door easily broken into. To avoid this purchase a lock mechanism with three point locking system. Make sure the side panel is reinforced with steel so they can't bend the panel.

Dear Mr. Mumford,

Thank you for your review; here at GEM we take all our customer comments and concerns very seriously. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know everything and hope to continue this dialog moving forward. We are sorry to hear about your recent break in, we are sure that the event has been traumatic for you and your family.

Upon reviewing your concerns we wanted to address and point out to the readers a few facts. The door that you chose was not a solid operating door but a door with an operating sidelight. The mechanics to allow the sidelight to vent must be taken into account. Your door has a police recommended PVC composite frame, not plastic that surpasses in strength from the traditional wood frames, that was drilled into to allow for the functionality of the sidelight vent. This esthetic upgrade caused the door to no longer lock into a solid structure but an integrated lock assembled on the side lite.

We also offer a multipoint lock upgrade to all our customers whom are concerned with security. This lock allows the door to be locked in 3 places providing maximum security, you did not choose to have this hardware added.

After further review of your contract with GEM Windows & Doors there was not mention of a kick panel. We can only be responsible for what is written in our contract and signed by both a GEM representative and the customer.

In conclusion you the buyer chose a quality door for the look and convenience of your home not for the security. We hope that any readers will understand that here at GEM we can advise our customers based on their needs. But ultimately it is the buyer’s choice to opt out of any recommended upgrades.

This is a classic case of a homeowner who is upset with their circumstances and needs to find a person/place thing to blame. Again we are sorry to hear about your break in, we hope this response finds your family in happiness and good health.
