About 2 years ago we had a pest problem around our house and basement. Raccoon damage on the rooftop vents, and mice issues in the basement that came with dirty droppings and damaged basement ceiling tiles. We called Snap Pest, and Joe was a pleasure to deal with, and he completely sealed our house, setup countermeasures throughout the house, and installed protections on our vents, and all of our issues have been completely resolved. His (included) aftercare service has more than exceeded our expectations, he is easy to reach and schedule, and he thoroughly checks all of the problem areas which has given us valuable peace of mind the past couple years. The wife and I are about to have our first child and we have the comfort knowing that any harmful sanitation issues we may have had if we didn't call Snap Pest are no longer a worry for us. If you have any mice/rodent/pest issues in your home, don't hesitate to call Joe from Snap Pest Control. I highly recommend him.

Thanks for your review. Finished my last inspection and the home is pest free. Visits to the home were staggered out
over a two year period with sealing all potential access points. I even caulked all the sofits with a large bead of silicone as insurance. Happy that this newborn child can come home to a pest free home. Joe

We had a mouse problem for a few years, and we finally decided to call for some expert help, fortunately for us we called Joe/Snap Pest Control after reading several glowing reviews from HomeStars. To describe Joe, he is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and honest guy who takes pride in his work, and does a quality job. I am confident that we will benefit from repairs he did to our house for many years as he did the job correctly without cutting any corners or being cheap on materials. For the amount of work he did and the materials he used, he charged us an extremely fair & honest price. In fact one of the jobs we had negotiated was for a one-way door on one of the holes (that we thought squirrels were using), when Joe worked on the issue more closely he found that the hole was too small for a squirrel to squeeze through, and that it just needed patching up without a door, so he knocked $100 off the bill. Very very impressed, and will recommend him to everybody!

Thanks for your review. This was a pest proofing job whereby I spent a whole day at one house. The roof line, the garage, and the perimeter in general get checked and locked down. By pest proofing the home in this manner access points are more apparent because you can see the top and the bottom of a homes walls. My clients had zero tolerance for pests and approached their issue wisely by blocking them out completely instead of simply trying to control them forever. Controlling pests can become a life long endeavor as they come in and out of our lives. I once received a call from a potential client that was hearing some scratching sounds in his 3 rd floor bathroom vanity late one night. The client preceded to tell me that the sounds were consistent and happening over the course of several months in other areas and that he was wondering if anything could be done. I told him that I would start by conducting an inspection and the we could develop a game plan afterwards. When I mentioned to him that there was a small fee for my inspection ( my inspections could take several hours ) he seemed elusive and decided that he would tackle the issue by himself. Three days later this same client came home from work to find water coming down from his third floor bathroom to the point whereby a disaster relief company had to be called in. A rat had eaten some of his store bought rodenticide, become thirsty, and chewed right through a plastic cold water line while everybody was away at work. All the hardwood floors, drywall, trim, baseboards etc.. needed to be replaced. I estimate the cost at well over a hundred thousand dollars in damage was done all because the client wanted to control the pests which had invaded his home himself. He attempted to control the issue by using poison alone and didn't understand the potential circumstances surrounding his decision. Later that week I went to inspect the home and found the access point and installed a 1 way door which would have prevented all this damage in the first place. The rat never came through the door because it had eaten the poison and became lodged in a wall somewhere and added a really foul smell to the already bad situation at the home. When his wife asked me how this could happen he looked me in the eye with a nervousness and fear that I knew all to well. I told her it was nobody's fault that the pipe simply gave way due to shoddy installation by a plumber hired by the builder. The damage was already done.

My wife purchase air conditioner from them 6 years ago! Last year we had them came in to fix - the guy couldn't find the leak and charged us for replacing the coolant - Guess what, this year , it's not working again! Made 3 phone call and have not receive any confirmation as when they can send someone to help! HORRIBLE after sales service! Be careful UPDATE: AC still down since May 28th! Technician did come June 3rd, and found cause of coolant leak, but did not have replacement coil, says we have to call high life to reschedule again! After repeated calls, they gave us a new date of June 17th. June 17th came and went, says they were too busy and rescheduled us for June 18th (4pm-6pm). Well I've given up as it's almost 10pm, and just getting voicemails when trying to call 905-513-0345 (since 6pm). It going to be over 30C tomorrow and we were supposed to host a family BBQ for father's day! Beware, after sales they have no interest in their customer service/callbacks/repairs when under warranty!

I normally don't post reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one. After experiencing multiple sewer backups due to clogged pipes, we contacted Drain Rescue. Customer service was courteous, helpful, and reliable throughout all callbacks and notifications. But I can't give enough praise to their plumber Dwayne who came over 3 times to clean a heavy grease buildup in our pipes. As luck would have it, during this work Dwayne also spotted a puncture in our sewage pipe several feet below our front door steps, saving us from a future disaster and potentially tens of thousands of dollars in future damage to our basement. This puncture represented a full day 2-man job to dig up and replace the pipe (approx $3.5K), and he was able to arrange the work to be done the very next day. Also the reason our sewagebackedmultiple times was due to heavy grease buildups in our kitchen stack that is unreachable through the basement drain pipe, Dwayne says to flush the kitchen stack would be about a $1.5K job not including the damaged drywall replacement. BUT because we were going to have to dig up the damaged pipe under our front door anyways, Dwayne said he could reach the kitchen stack through that, so he came the next day while that pipe was exposed and did a thorough job flushing our kitchen stack and removing huge amounts of grease (future backups), never charging any extra for this service, and assured us if the sewage backs up again he will come again free of charge! Wow! Thank you Dwayne and Drain Rescue Plumbers, you guys are terrific, honest, and truly nice people, and you saved my wife and I thousands of dollars, and helped save us from our unfortunate/messy/potentially disastrous situation.
