We had Michael and Allan help us with our move from a North York condo to our new house in Stouffville. We were a little nervous at first because it was our first big move and we had heard horror stories about some pretty bad experiences, but the minute Michael and Allan showed up and started working, we felt at ease. They were on time and very professional, courteous and friendly. They went over the costs with us, which were exactly as had been quoted at the beginning. We had many boxes (some open with random objects we had thrown in at the last minute), some heavy furniture, bikes, tall lamps and many bags of clothes. Our move actually took twice the amount of time we had originally planned (our fault, we didn't think the condo elevator would slow us down that much), but they worked steadily throughout the whole time to ensure that they got the job done. Nothing ended up broken or misplaced, and they followed our instructions on where to put everything in the house. The owner, Yuri, was also pleasant to deal with and answered my questions promptly. I would definitely use them again in another move and have recommended them to a friend of ours who is moving in the near future. Thanks guys!!

Adel and Emanuel came to clean the carpets in our new home prior to our move. We had to change the time on him a number of times and each time, he was understanding, pleasant and made it clear that he was just as concerned about our schedule as we were. On the day of the cleaning, we were scheduled to do it in the evening but he called at the last minute to say he had a spot open up and he could do it sooner - much appreciated! When they arrived, they were very professional and laid out carpets and put on booties immediately. The carpets were initially filthy and even had some paint stains on them, however they are now fresh smelling & looking (they actually look new!). At then end, Adel threw in some extra goodies for us including some spot cleaner...Thank you so much! We're so glad we decided to go with you.

We hired Clean and Shiny to clean our new house before our move-in date. Although friendly and courteous, the staff showed up 30 mins late (and still charged us for it!) and asked inappropriate questions like how much we paid for our house. I paid an additional $45 for steam cleaning which I was told would ensure complete sanitization and cleanliness, however everything feels/looks grimy. I suspect this is due to the residue from the steam (?) but I'd expect the surfaces to be wiped down afterwards if that is what happens. The floors still have debris on them, all the lights were left on after cleaning, and the staff left a bag of garbage containing, among other things, their own empty water bottles. I will likely have to sweep the floors and wipe down the surfaces again and overall, could have done a much better job myself. A disappointing experience given all the great reviews on Home Stars. UPDATE - just read the company's response - that's ridiculous. We have correspondence between us and them confirming the booking and payment. They did a bad job - period.
