Revi and her team at Monaco Interiors did a great overall job at executing our kitchen renovation project. Being an older house (> 100 yrs old), the project presented several unique challenges. For instance, as the floor was uneven, we had to forego the original design of herringbone wooden floors. As this was one of the design aspects of the reno that I was most looking forward to, letting that go was tough. However, I know that Revi spent a lot of time and effort into trying to get the floor for me, and, when 3 different contractors said it was not possible without significantly exceeding our budget, she tried her best to get me a floor that I am still happy with. One caveat we experienced was that the final touches and attention to detail were a bit lacking. Because we are perfectionists, we did notice some things that perhaps would not bother others. For instance, there were areas with paint splatters on the floor, a small area with crooked tiles and light switch plates, and a gable that appeared crooked (due to uneven floors). When we mentioned these, Stephen promptly addressed them. However, they may have been caught and addressed by Revi the designer had she been to the home to check everything and add the final touches, but I believe she did not visit until after the project was already complete and we had moved back in to our home. Overall, Revi and Stephen were easy to work with and were quick to address any concerns we had as the project progressed. They were able provide their expertise in the design and construction elements of the project and were mindful of our budget, while accommodating our wishes and vision. Despite the challenges and a few surprises, Revi and her team were able to complete the project on time, and we are very happy with the results.
