Called these guys on a weekend because I had no hot water, I knew the mixing valve needed to be replaced (so I assumed they would have a part when they came or ask what size I needed) rush fee for the job was quoted around $400 plus tax, so I said I could wait until Monday to a save a little on the labour... Monday rolls around, worker shows up 3 hours late at my house and doesn't have the correct part, says he had to go to Home Depot. Comes back in an hour WITH another guy, who I can only assume he picked up while he was out, since Home Depot is only a 10 minute drive from my house. Replaced the mixing valve in about 15 minutes total, then charges me 1.5 hours labour because he had to go to the store, and tells me "I didn't charge you for the second guy" as if I'm getting a deal... so the bill comes out to $450. Spoke with the owner and he offered me a $50 credit on the next job, which is essentially worthless a) if I never use them again, which I won't... and b) they may just tack that $50 onto the next bill somehow anyway. I feel like these guys charged me the "RUSH" fee even though I waited a day with no hot water... then were late on top of that and showed up with no parts and billed me for an hour to go to the store. I can understand if they were doing a large job or troubleshooting a problem, but when you know what the job is and likely replace one of these a week, you would think you'd come prepared. Oh, and the hot water wasn't even fixed when they left. Told me something else was wrong with the tank and I had to call Reliance to fix it. So who knows if the valve even needed to be replaced? I don't... I'm not a plumber, but my faith in these guys is not good.
