I knew for a while that I needed insulation blown into my attic (there really wasnt much there); finally decided to research, and received a few quotes. After chatting with Richard from Fanattics, , and then after meeting with other companies, I decided to go with Fanattics because they offered better service options than the other quotes, more bang for your buck: get a solar powered roof vent/fan installed at no additional cost free roof inspection/light fixes if necessary other little things that made the cost worth it. I was especially happy with the roof inspection, because, living in a semi, I had a feeling that my neighbours roof was nit in great shape, which was a concern for me. Richard identified a few problems and fixed the roofing cap that was improperly installed by the roofing company my neighbour used, and then he highlighted some other areas (with pictures) on my neighbours roof that needed repairs. All that to say, I would definitely recommend Fanattics, they are 100% worth it.

I had a problem with my dishwasher and dryer. Vitaly provided a great diagnosis on the dryer (athlete is too old and there are no more parts to fix— there are some other things going wrong with it so it would be easier just to buy a new dryer). For the dishwasher, Vitaly quickly and easily fix the door cleaned out the pump and filter, and gave me some good maintenance advice going forward. I am really happy with his level of service, and I would totally recommend this company and Vitaly to do the job that you need done!

This is the second time that I have used Superior Air Duct Cleaning to clean my ducts. This time, I have the deluxe package done, where they did EVERYTHING. The service included cleaning the bathroom and dryer vents, and some other options. So that price that I paid was a bit higher than normal, but well worth it. Both gentlemen were courteous, professional, and very efficient. I had no worries about them working in my house. Unfortunately I cannot remember their names else I would give them a shout out. But I strongly recommend having your air ducks cleaned at least every three years... and DEFINITELY by this company. I cannot recommend them enough. One final note, my dryer in the internal Vance look so amazing after they finished. I tried cleaning it myself or the dryer kit a couple years ago, and I did not even closely match how well they did. Your health, your lungs, your allergies, your nose will definitely thank you!

Bought a natural gas bbq. And of course, needed a gas line built from meter to bbq. Distance was over 50 feet, around a corner. First company I called said distance was too far, couldn’t be done. Undeterred but slightly vexed, I used Homestars, and found Sunray. And yes, you CAN install a gas line that long. Service was quick and great. Bbq, gas pressure, has worked fantastically ever since. Definitely recommend!

My wife and I bought house, and we noticed that current upstairs carpet was looking sad. Through a recommendation of our real estate agent, we visited Flooring Works. Naim and his employees were great. Naim especially did such a wonderful job helping us choose the right carpet, underpadding, for the right price. And remember folks: you get what you paid for. So the $3000 we spent was so well worth it. Flooring Works no longer has a brick and mortar store, but by all means, if you need laminate, hardwood, or carpet, call Naim first. You won’t be disappointed! Note: we appreciated Flooring Works so much we went back purchased an area rug for a great price.

New house purchased, and then we realized that previous owners did not return one of their house keys after closing (they say they lost it). Needed help in a pinch, as we didn’t want to risk the case of previous owners “finding” key, so and we found RDL Services. They came quickly, did a great job of re-keying lock. For an emergency service, cost was good. I would recommend RDL for your emergency (or non-emergency) needs!

During the crazy rain/ice/snow over the weekend , my pedestal sump pump decided to go on the fritz. I used the relatively new Homestars feature to state my problem/issue (new sump pump install), and within 2 minutes received a friendly call (owner, I believe). Within 1.5 hours Clayton from PlumbWize came over and very quickly and efficiently removed pedestal sump and installed submersible sump. Clayton was a great help, and I could tell that both he and company care for its customers. I would recomm PlumbWize 100%. I have some future work where I will be giving them a call. Thank you!

We had a dark front entrance until my wife saw a facebook ad for Distinctive Glass inserts (single door). We were skeptical until I called and talked with Grayson. Basic premise is using existing front door, insert glass. Great selection and designs to choose from. Our appointment was scheduled quickly, and man It was done within 45 minutes!!!!! Wow! We are very happy with the two gentlemen who did the work, and with Grayson's overall help. You bet we recommend them, and would use them again!

John and his conpany are great. I had damage to my roof, it was leaking into my bedroom. John came over and fixed it. Good job. However, I also showed him a foundation crack that I thought was a major issue; John calmed me down and said it was not. Gave me a quotation for fix, but also gave me the number of one of his main conoetitors for a second opinion. Wow, that is great service and integrity!

For a half face cord, 16 inches, $65.00 is pretty darn good. I have been buying my firewood from Van Beek's for three years, and staff is always friendly and responsive. And firewood is good quality. Recommend!

We bought an autumn blaze maple 2 years ago this fall during that hot hot summer. The staff were incredibly helpful driving us all over the place as we looked for the right tree and right fit. The installation went without issue, and two years later the tree looks great. I would recommend.

Ben was incredibly knowledgeable , friendly, and helpful in our first and second consultations, and through email/phone conversations. He answered all our questions/concerns, and had good ideas to help steam us along. We had some other great quotes and appointments with other great companies in and around the GTA but we felt that Sky Blinds was the right choice. The work has not yet been done, so I will update this review in two weeks' time.

We bought our house last year; older house, 12 years old, came with builder furnace, a Heil. This fall, when furnace turned on, the motor started squealing. When a few HVAC contractors lookedat furnace, they found tge beginnings of a crack--which meant new furnace. After talking with 5 HVAC companies, researching them, Chris from Convertible Air impressed me the most. He came armedwith knowledge, data, facts, and was able to answer all my questions. He was also one of the only people to properly quote the BTUs needed for the furnace (60 000 instead of 80 000). I went with the American Standard, 2 stage, and am very happy with it. The installers were also knowledgable, friendly, quick, polite, and performed a great job on installation and clean-up. I would totally recommend Convertible to everone; great price, great service.
