After the first big wind storm in Toronto this spring we came home to find half of our roofing shingles and most of the underlay crumbled in our yard. We weren't aware that the previous owner of the house had done a shoddy handyman roofing job and it was falling apart and in danger of leaking. Several months later and we were unable to find anyone to do the job. All the Toronto roofing companies have been swamped and the few who came to quote were really giving us pricing we couldn't afford for a simple high peak asphalt roof. We finally started asking everyone we knew for roofers and someone gave us Marcel's number. He was very busy himself both repairing and building new roofs but because we got his name from someone he works with regularly he kind of did us a favour. His quote was fair for the work required and though it took a little time for him to clear up his work load and get to our house, when he did come he went above and beyond, dealing with the mess we'd been left with including a rotted out roof deck which had to be completely replaced. The clean up was amazing, our new roof looks great and we're very happy and relieved to have this ordeal behind us.
