2 repairs a week apart - first our 2012 Kenmore top loading washing machine would not spin and the following week the lock on our 2008 GE range's oven door would not work. Service was prompt and well done. Have used the services of this company in the past and continue to find them to be responsive, very competent and nice to deal with. We plan to continue to use them in the future.

The work performed by Avenue Road Roofing and Avenue Road Masonry (for the chimney) was excellent. We appreciate Tony's metal work which was first rate. Sorting out arrangements between our insurance and ARR was challenging, but we were left very happy with the results.

We intended to put up this post some time ago, but kept putting it off. It's a good news story and we owe it to Laird & Son - they earned it! So here it is: Last year we needed to replace our (rental) water heater, but it turned out that there was not enough space between the furnace and the wall to get the old water heater out. Laird & Son had installed the furnace in 2003. When we contacted them to complain that the placement of the furnace had caused this problem, they were surprised. However, after looking at some of our photos, they came and assessed the situation and determined that indeed the furnace was in the wrong place. So they moved it! They moved it (back about 4") within a week AND AT NO COST TO US. That was some 14 years AFTER they'd installed the furnace - excellent service under any circumstance! The furnace, by the way, is a Lennox and it has been absolutely worry-free. We are very happy with it. Thank you Laird & Son for standing by your work and fixing this problem so quickly, neatly and at your own cost. We appreciate your integrity, as well as the quality of the product we purchased from you 14 years ago. We plan to use Laird & Son again when we need to replace this furnace.

We are very happy to report that we are delighted with the service and product from Art Metal Workshop. From our initial queries, to visiting the workshop, to getting advice and to placing an order we found the service to be very friendly, responsive and helpful - whether in person, on the phone or by email. The railings we ordered are lovely and the installation was done quickly, professionally and without any fuss by two staff who had clearly done this before! We are really pleased and will certainly use Art Metal Workshop in the future and recommend them to others. We would like to add that we had become discouraged after trying to find another company that would undertake what was a relatively small job. Usually no one responded to our queries and one was quite rude. Our experience with Art Metal Workshop was very positive and as a result, we ended up getting two additional railings that we'd not originally intended to do. Now that we've done it and it's turned out so well, we're delighted.

We are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Avenue Road Roofing (ARR). All the staff we dealt with were very professional, positive and upbeat - particularly Tyson who contracted the job a year in advance and then remained available until the work was completed to ensure that all of our concerns (real and imagined) were addressed. Clearly the staff at ARR are all confident that they will meet or exceed their customers' expectations. ARR removed two old roof coverings (low-sloped shingles and a layer of modified bitumen that ARR installed 25 years ago, in Sept. 1991) from the low-sloped roof on our 3 bedroom bungalow, recovered it with insulation and modified bitumen, installed two skylights, provided the interior carpentry work and re-installed our de-icing cables. We're delighted to be able to write this positive review and we have no qualms about recommending the company to others.
