Allan performed 2 home inspections for us in the space of just over 1 week. His first home inspection revealed several significant deficiencies which I did not see and I am an avid DIYer. The seller was unwilling to remedy these deficiencies and in hindsight Allan's home inspection probably saved us over $20k in additional home repairs as we walked away from the home purchase. His second home inspection was equally admirable and he detected a deficiency within the master ensuite bathroom. We were able to negotiate a price reduction with the seller for this deficiency and the purchase was agreed upon. Allan is very knowledgeable and is a quality home inspector whom I would not hesitate in recommending. His inspection reports are quite thorough and includes supporting information, digital pictures, and clear details of noted deficiencies.

Our home is only 5 yrs old. There was a significant draft coming from the baseboard area in a room above our porch. The draft was so significant that during the winter periods, this room could be as much as 5 degrees celcius colder than the rest of the house. After removing aluminum porch ceiling we found voids and exposed gaps where the porch roof rafters tied into the house causing cold air to enter the house. Tom was contacted and provided a very competitive quotation after taking the measurements of the area to be insullated over the phone. He arrived promptly at 8 am that Saturday and completed the work within 1 hr. He and his partner were very courteous and did an excellent job.
