What can I say. This guy is a smooth talker, he will tell you what you want to hear, will give you a reasonable price and break your heart. He will ask you for a deposit, which is normal.. mid job he will ask for more..again normal and when he is almost finished he will ask for the balance and then disappears with the job 90% done. He shows up when he wants, leaves early, leaves the place a total mess and he refuses to provide a legitimate bill with an HST number.

We used Durham insulation to insulate our sun room (it was an addition to the house we purchased and it was never properly insulated). Durham insulation was to spray polyurethane spray foam on the floor and exterior walls and then come back later to blow loose cellulose insulation in the sun room attic. They arrived as promised and did the spray foam insulation. They did not do a very good job on the spray foam insulation, my invoice states 5 inches on the floor and in some spots it is barely 3 inches, also they did not clean the floor joists or tape them as well as on the walls, so I had to clean it up so I could lay my sub-floor and drywall. They told me they would come back the following Thursday to do the attic (Thursday at 8:30 am). I took the day off work and guess what, they did not show up. I called and spoke to Robert at 10:30 am and he said the guys would be there between 12 and 4:30 pm. No one showed up. At 4:30 pm I called Robert, and he did not answer my call and let it go to his voicemail. I left him a message. Robert then called back and said there was a mix up and the guys would be there on Friday. They showed up on Friday. For the blown insulation, they did an ok job. Overall, not impressed. Words of advice, if you use Durham Insulation, do not make the mistake we made by paying for the whole job up front. Only pay for what is done, you are not required to pay for the work upfront, by law you can hold back portion of the costs until the job is done. We have to say not impressed and we will not be recommending Durham Insulation nor will we ever use them again.

Chad, did an amazing job. Did exactly what we asked for, provided his expert advice on how we could optimize the installation and as a result enjoy our devices better. Chad also takes the time to answer your questions and explain what he is doing.

Where to start... the owner is arrogant and unethical. We ordered a kitchen granite countertop for a vintage counter that we purchased (2 months before we were to move into our new home). They came as promised to measure the unit and then called about 3 weeks later to install the counter top in our old home, when we had specific instructions that the installation should occur in July after we move. Shortly before moving into our home we also purchased a marble and glass shower, be purchased about a week before moving into our home and since they were to come in about one week to install our kitchen countertop, we were assured they would take the measurements for the shower and we have our shower installed in 10 days (we assumed 10 days after the measurement)... 10 days turned into 2 months. The day of the installation came and they did not show up. I called and the owner answered and said he messed up and someone would be there later in the day to install the countertop. They called and said it was too far and they would show up on Monday. Monday came and went and no one showed up. They finally arrived, one week late. Now back to the shower story, we paid 50% after the measurements were taken and 50% prior to installation - big mistake, legally you can hold back a percentage of the cost and we advise that you do so, as once you pay, Pro Stone then holds you ransom, they demand more money to finish the job. As a consumer you really have no choice, you have a half finished product and you have no choice but to pay. This is very unethical and bordering on illegal. Pro Stone does not honour its own written estimates and contracts and treats customers like Pro Stone is doing them a favour by taking their business. Pro Stone needs to understand, if they continue to treat customers the way they are, pretty soon they will not have any customers. This was by far the worst customer service / product purchase experience that we have every had.
