Condo plumbing issues are no fun, but if they come up every once in awhile I always call WaterWorks. With plumbing especially, there are implications for more than just one suite in a large building so it's important to get the job/repair done right the first time, every time. As usual, Michael and his staff did not disappoint from start to finish when helping me out with my most recent problem. Over the last few years, I've referred many neighbours and friends to WaterWorks for their own plumbing needs and even to help resolve problems arising from other contractors' work. They, too, are very satisfied and recommend WaterWorks to their friends and family. Thank-you Michael and team, keep up the great work!

Had a great experience start to finish with Sleep Country on Queen Street a couple of years ago when we purchased a bed. Excellent product. When we recently needed a new mattress for another bed of course we went back there right away. Same great customer service experience from Shyam's cheerful greeting when we entered the store, to his no-pressure, knowledgeable and professional assistance, to the booking, confirmation of and the delivery itself (on time, no hassle, friendly and personable guy). Even the warehouse staff were pleasant and helpful when I called on delivery day with a question to relay to the driver. Top quality mattress, too, first night was very comfortable and looking forward to more! Thanks Sleep Country, we'll be back again for sure!

We were having some issues with our toilet so as usual we called WaterWorks and as usual we were not disappointed. A hassle free and pleasant experience thanks to Michael and his team. They are qualified professionals who work hard and are passionate about what they do. They "get" the complete customer service excellence experience, remaining connected and engaged with the customer from initial contact to completion of the job. It's good to know the cost of the job upfront with no surprises. No games. And they take full responsibility for the great work they do. When it comes to home repair issues (and our past experiences before WaterWorks), we firmly believe that you get what you pay for. A mistake many homeowners make is too much focus on saving time and money especially when it comes to home maintenance/repair issues. Don't make that mistake, it'll eventually cost you! Michael, thank-you and your team for your dedication, professionalism and great attitude. Always good to do business with you and we'll be in touch to discuss some future plumbing upgrades to our condo!

A company you can trust! They care about their customers and always do the job right. My call was answered by very pleasant and helpful staff. Michael is professional, courteous, pleasant, came right on time, explained everything clearly and fixed my toilet expertly, giving me complete peace of mind. A couple of days later he returned to help me for a nominal charge with a smaller unrelated problem I discovered and clearly explained everything again. Very satisfied and will recommend to friends and family. Already have neighbours who have used WaterWorks and are also completely satisfied. Thank-you Michael and WaterWorks, I know who I will call again for all of my plumbing and drain needs!

This is the second time we've used this company. The first time was 2 years ago to install netting on our condo's balconey to keep those pesky pigeons away. Last year the netting had to come down for balconey restoration work (I took it down myself by simply cutting the wire holding the netting in place). Called Pigeon Busters again to have the netting re-installed this week. As usual, no pressure, no hassles with appointment booking or the work. Because I'd saved the netting and kept it in good condition, David was able to re-install it with no problem. David, Christian and the rest of the crew are hard-working, knowledgeable and pleasant professionals who know what they're doing and are respectful of their customers' property. High quality product and installation/re-installation is done right the first time. Highly recommend, in fact they have received and will continue to receive additional business in our condo complex as a result. Thanks guys!

Customer service as it should be! From start to finish, this daunting task I kept putting off and finally decided to act on was made easy, just like the Staples motto. Following the clear instructions on their website helped me narrow down exactly what I needed before I visited the store. At the store, Nick, Andrew, and Edward in the tech/computer department continued the excellent customer service experience on the day of purchase and afterwards by being available even when very busy and fully answering all of my questions and concerns with their great knowledge, professionalism and patience. Even the cashier was a pleasure to interact with. A minor issue with my wireless router came up and they made sure it was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. Everything very clearly explained and again all questions answered. Very happy with their set-up service, you literally can bring everything home, plug it in, and you're good to go. No hassles. Highly recommend and will continue to go there for future purchases! Thank-you Staples!

Connected with Dave from DAC Power Systems through a forum here on Homestars. We needed some help with an ongoing condo bathroom/laundry room exhaust fan problem. We were also also looking for a future resource for other projects. Dave (owner) is professional, punctual, pleasant, knowledgeable, returns calls and e-mails promptly, clearly explains things and offers cost-effective options. Great quality work (our reconditioned exhaust fan now runs great!). Have already made referrals to our property manager and other residents in our condo complex who are dealing with similar concerns. We will definitely call him again. 10 stars all around. Thanks Dave!

As long time Sears customers, we've historically been happy with their sales (Sears Fairview) and repair services (Sears Home Central). So when one of our appliances recently stopped working we didn't hesitate to call Sears Home Central to arrange for a diagnosis and subsequent repair appointment. Unfortunately, issues with the call centre and the initial diagnosis techincian left us a bit disappointed, suspecting that perhaps Sears no longer uses their own employees i.e. all of their work is contracted out now and this might explain our service experience this time around? We suspected the usual "larger more lucrative jobs take priority over smaller ones (and customer service)". The first (diagnosing) technician left us for a bigger job after a quick diagnosis, warranty hard-sell, and a promise to call when the part came in. Was prompt to call when he had the part (the next day, we were happy about this). He wanted to do the repair the same day but the notice was too short for us to get off work to meet him at our home. So he promised to call us to book the repair appointment. We never heard from him again. We decided to call him after waiting for a day or two (we'd saved his cell #, much to his surprise). After telling us his lame story for not calling he told us to wait for Sears to call us. Hmm, if we hadn't found him, we'd still be waiting! We then contacted the call centre ourselves to get another technician in to do the repair. This meant waiting a few more days (now a week) without a working appliance. Repair was pricey. The positive things we noticed this time around were the reminder phone calls from Sears Home Central the day before appointments, the reasonable wait window for appointments (4 hours max.), both techicians (diagnostic and repair) were respectively on time (ie: arrived early in the wait window), knew what they were doing and left our home clean. Despite this, though, we have noted some other reputable appliance repair companies after extensive reading on this site as we're now unsure whether we'll call or recommend Sears Home Central again.

We called the WaterWorks when we suspected a clogged toilet that we couldn't clear ourselves. Jean was her usual pleasant reassuring self, and George was booked to come the next day. True to WaterWorks form, we received a call accurately predicting George's arrival and when he did, he quickly and expertly investigated the problem. When it was found to be relatively minor and therefore easily resolved, George then took a few minutes, going the extra mile to ensure that the toilet was functioning properly by checking the interior of the tank as well as that of our second toilet (at no extra charge!). We enjoyed his positive attitude and appreciated his honest and expert advice in order to avoid future potential mishaps. Thank-you again, Jean, George and WaterWorks!

Had hired plumbing contractors for minor jobs in the past and found they absolutely confirmed the unfortunate stereotype attached to this skilled trade. When the time came for us to get some help with repair/replacement of two toilets in our condo, I turned to HomeStars to hopefully find a better experience, if one actually existed. I needed the job done right! I read all (yes, all) of the reviews for the WaterWorks and noticed that these were largely stellar and secondly that all of the positive remarks were consistent regardless of the work that was done. Decided to give them a try. Never regretted the decision. We were treated to a seamlessly impressive professional, thorough and timely customer service experience from start to finish, completely consistent with the reviews I had read. In the customer service industry myself, I don't miss much when I'm the customer. I can also appreciate that it is very rewarding and also sometimes challenging to deliver professional service to many different types of clientele in a somewhat stigmatized industry. The WaterWorks has mastered this lost art of customer service, which is why this company is and continues to be so successful. Some additional points: -punctual (early!), clean, uniformed, professional, pleasant, physically fit, licensed and certified experts in their field. -vehicles are an extension of their professional image. Vans and trucks are clean, well maintained and well stocked. -their wide service area doesn't limit them to only certain parts of the city. -they use only professional materials and accessories, which are stocked and readily available in their huge warehouse. -the multi-tasking, multi-talented Jean provides a great first impression of the company and subsequent follow-up calls are handled professionally, efficiently, and pleasantly. And she loves her job! -Michael, the owner of the company and an obvious expert in his trade, balances professionalism and being personable with ease. I was pleasantly surprised when Jean called to say that Michael would attend our service call. On his arrival, he listened to my explanation of the situation, made his own observations and comments, presented and explained all of the options available to me without high pressure tactics. Once our decision was made, he went to work, obtaining a second toilet and tank from one of his technicians who then joined him on the job since he was in the same neighbourhood(Ray). Kept me informed of things that he observed during the job, answered fully all of my questions, and even had a quick look at some future projects we had planned, making helpful suggestions in the process. He treated Ray with professionalism and respect as they worked together, and it was apparent that Ray enjoyed working for and respected Michael. I learned a lot about our particular situation from Michael's expertise and then some. Although we chatted off and on as Michael worked, this never became a distraction from the work he was there to do, all the while remaining pleasant. It was refreshing to know that the job was being done properly by an expert with people skills who enjoys what they do for a living, and who also actively strives to balance work, personal health, and family commitments. -Ray is someone who all owners/managers wish they had as an employee. Pleasant and professional, Ray told us that he loves his job and enjoys what he does, and this shows in his attitude as well as the quality of his work. This was apparent also in his interaction with Michael and did not change when Michael left for another commitment (I knew this in advance). When faced with a challenge during the work, Ray responded with determination an skill, eventually conquering the issue after a bit of extra time and effort, and all without one complaint. Don't go anywhere else! Save yourself the aggravation and headaches as well as the extra cost of fixing shoddy jobs! Call this great Canadian owned and operated company that does the job right the first time, every time, and you will not be disappointed. We will definitely use their services again, and have already made several referrals. Thank-you Jean, Michael and Ray, and keep up the great work!

Have been going to Rona for all of my home maintenance needs for a few years now. Always found the staff knowledgeable and helpful in every area not only with me but I have seen their interaction with other customers as well. Good selection of products too. Like the fact that a Tim Horton's is right in the store (their staff are great too). Always go to Rona first and usually don't have to go anywhere else.

Visited the Brick in Scarborough (Warden and Eglinton)looking for living room furniture and a home theatre for our new condo. We had a clear idea of what we were looking for and the price range. Didn't experience any pushy sales people; staff were around and available but not "hovering". After browsing for awhile we found what we wanted. When we were ready we approached Bob, one of the nearby sales reps. Bob was exceptional. Very professional and personable. We were able to negotiate a great deal with him for all of our items (including a floor model we bought "as is"), and the classic "I'll need to clear this with the manager first" scenario only took a few minutes with absolutely no haggling. Three separate deliveries were arranged d/t stock availability and all were to be completed within the next four weeks, which worked well for us. Each delivery experience was completely different from the others. One delivery involved numerous phone calls to Bob and the management of the store on delivery day to locate the truck and to confirm whether our items were on it as we didn't hear anything from the driver at all as had been previously arranged. When I got sick of waiting, I called the store for assistance. Bob and his manager were stellar, going above and beyond to help me by contacting the warehouse and the driver themselves before giving me the contact information. When the truck finally did arrive, two guys with serious attitude literally threw our stuff on the living room floor and left it there (they didn't take their boots off, and the home theatre box was dropped and left on it's end) after telling us that they knew we'd "complained". Second delivery went a little more smoothly (different guys and this time they called and showed up slightly later than the stated time window). I then got a callfrom the warehouse a few days later. Our final item had arrived in stock earlier than planned, so an earlier delivery date was offered at our convenience (which we appreciated). The day was arranged, then it came and we heard nothing. Waited for a few hours then was on the verge of calling Bob again for help when the driver called from his cell to say he was in the lobby, could I meet him there? I went downstairs and saw the driver, looking exhausted and flustered, holding our glass entertainment system TV stand box in his hands (no cart, and he was having trouble keeping his grip on the box as it was very heavy, and wet/soggy at one end). Apparently he said was overbooked and was loading/unloading the truck and delivering by himself all day. Although it was now 9:30 p.m., he said he had 6 more deliveries to do. Were it not for his red "Brick" staff sweatshirt, I would not have believed he was from the Brick. We got the box safely up to the condo together. Suffice it to say, the Brick needs to work on bringing some consistency, care, communication and professionalism to its delivery department. Unfortunately (and despite a great sales experience) we won't do or recommend business with the Brick again because of their delivery experience. On another more positive note, the home theatre was not damaged, fortunately, and everything else arrived in good shape..

Needed help a couple of years ago for a move from a small home to a larger one, so we didn't have too many items and did most of the packing ourselves. Hired Tippett-Richardson on the recommendation of others who had had a positive experience with them. One friend advised against them d/t issues with a University of Toronto Library move some years ago where customer service was very poor and items went missing. Consultant/salesman Mike was very knowledgeable and professional, especially during our first meeting although he was a bit impatient/irritated with us on a couple of occasions afterwards when we called with questions pertaining to payment (ie: when the credit card would be charged the balance, etc.). No untoward issues with credit card charges, though, and we paid exactly what was quoted. Consultant Joy ended up our main contact and was always pleasant and helpful. We were fully informed of exactly what would happen before, during and after our move. Two different "teams" would do our move; the day before, the "packing team" would show up to pack us up, and the next day the "moving team" would come and physically load the truck and take our stuff to the new place. Packing team was interesting. Two young ladies in sweats, sucking on cigarettes arrived (on time, though) in a rusted out old T-R van. They were very personable and did a great job packing even the most awkward of items(they knew what they were doing), except that as time went on it appeared that they took turns trying to keep me distracted with conversation in another room. They weren't too happy working for T-R and complained about other employees, management, etc. One of them said she was going to quit soon after nine years with the company. I kept moving around to keep a close eye on them both which they didn't like very much and was largely successful. Had to leave them both for a few minutes to get something from my car, though. After the move we discovered that a box full of about $15.00 in loose change was missing from one of the dresser drawers (my oversight as we had previously removed all of the valuables from the home and brought them to the new place ourselves). Parking lot surveillance cameras we viewed later showed one of them carrying the change box to the van and placing it under some packing materials. I didn't pursue T-R for this as I figured they probably needed the change more desperately than I did, but was a bit miffed as I'd given one of the packers an old but working propane BBQ we no longer had any use for. A TV remote was also missing from the same dresser (different drawer, again my oversight) but couldn't prove they took it. Otherwise everything was packed very well and there were no casualties. Moving team was great! On time, in uniform, very pleasant and efficient. Handled everything with expertise and care, didn't mind that we were around (out of their way). Within two hours we were unpacking in our new place. Not sure if we'd recommend T-R or use them again but if so, keep an eye on the packing team.
