We would recommend Sonoma Contracting for a basement renovation. Above all, Mike understands customer service and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right and make the customer happy. He won our business, over several other bids, with a detailed quote and good practical suggestions. We completely gutted our basement, including implementing a waterproofing system and pouring new concrete. We took the opportunity to replace the heating system, rewire the electrical, upgrade the plumbing lines and install in-floor radiant heating. In the end we created a new media room, bedroom, utility room and laundry room. In terms of Mike’s subcontractors, we loved Tony the carpenter…great attention to detail and problem solving abilities. Alliance Flooring did a solid job and resolved a tricky issue. Carleton the HVAC guy is very sharp and knows his technology. He recommended and implemented some outstanding solutions (new boiler, infloor heating, elimination of bulkheads, etc.). We are very pleased with our reno and thank Mike, Aldo and their crew for all their good work!

Jurek is a nice guy, very knowledgeable, but beware that he has a tendancy to forget about clients. He's very busy and sometimes might prioritize his time elsewhere...very frustrating. I think he may be a good guy to go for if you have a big project (an addition) and you are able to pin him down on timing.
