After getting quotes from various companies we decided on Vinyl Window Pros to replace the windows in our entire house....and we are so glad we did! Sam gave great advice on design options and provided us with a fair quote for high efficiency triple pane windows. My only complaint is that after paying the $6k deposit we waited much longer than we were initially told for the windows to arrive and received no proactive communication during this time. However, once the windows arrived Tisha and Alex started the installation and thats when everything changed.....it was discovered that not only were four of my window frames completely rotted but also the sheeting on the house was so damp that you could poke a finger right through it! While my husband and I went into full panic mode seeing our project explode, Tisha and Alex assured us they could help us. They removed the siding as required and re-sheeting almost the entire backside of my home. They made a point to show us all of the damage and regularly discussed the change in scope. The extra cost for this work was absolutely minimal. I cannot speak to how other companies would have handled this disaster but Vinyl Window Pro's were just that....Pros! The windows look great and the service and knowledge were top notch!

Our 1860 sq ft home had original oak hardwood in a honey oak that we wanted to refinish to its natural state in order to modernize the look of the house. We also removed a pony wall and the corner pantry in the kitchen and the flooring needed to be feathered in in those areas. Cal came by to take a look and give us a quote and his knowledge and professionalism made us instantly hire him. His quote came in at a reasonable cost and he was able to meet my strict timeline before we needed to move in. His crews worked over the weekend to ensure the job was done and I couldn't be happier with the work. There was one area upstairs that was damaged by his crews and when I mentioned it to him he was adamant on doing what was needed to make it right. Excellent workmanship and excellent customer service. Update: its been 7 months since Cal and his crews redid our floors and they still look amazing! The color is perfect and they have stood up to kids and dogs. Couldnt be happier.

We renovated our kitchen which included moving the island, adding a water line to our fridge and a waterline to our stove for a pot filler. First someone came to review the scope of work, then Justin came a week or so later to complete the rough in and he was awesome. He was kind and knowledgeable. Once our countertops went in I asked when he would be back as I was so anxious to have a functioning sink and he showed up the next day! Had no issues dealing with my big dog (no one was home we just gave him the door code) and he plumbed in our Kinetico R/O instead of us paying Trail $250 to do it! I would definitely recommend Dukes, their plumbers are knowledgeable, respectful and kind and their prices are exactly as one would expect.

I called Jamie for a quote to remove the popcorn off the ceiling of our newly purchased 1860 sq ft home and convert it to flat which came in around $7500. Jamie and his team did a great job. They arrived when they said they would, they kept to my strict timeline and they hired cleaners after to get rid of every speck of drywall dust. He then convinced us to pay him an additional $3,500 to lacquer our upstairs bannister, downstairs railing and hutch. The lacquer sprayed much further that initially indicated and we were forced to sand walls and repaint the entire house to get rid of it. But the real trouble came about three months later when our skylight drywall started to crack, screws started to pop out of the ceiling in various places upstairs and the upstairs bannister cracked. When I contacted Jamie to ask if he warrantied his work his excellent customer service was no longer present and he said that it was a mistake the builder made (my house was built in 1997) but just happened to show up months after my ceilings were skimmed, which is a very convenient coincidence. Within a month of completing the lacquer my bannister started to crack and once again, Jamie said that it should have been one piece as he knew that overtime this would happen. Had I known that overtime meant 30 days I would have saved my $300+. Jamie's work was initially very good and he was very accommodating but if you're looking for something to last, perhaps look elsewhere.

I do stand by my work. In this case this home has screw/nail pops (installation of drywall issue). It is normal as all homeowners know to have nail pops in the ceiling as your house ages. Especially at this time of year when it is getting colder. This customer would not listen to my professional opinion and insisted this was my problem when it was 100 percent irrelevant to my workmanship. We removed the popcorn ceiling and smoothed out for flat and painted the ceiling. We did not install any drywall. Why would I warranty the drywall install work when I did not do it? As for the hairline crack in the skylight. This is once again from whoever taped the home back when. That upstairs has its own issues. It's not hard to put that together? Had a client approached me with kindness not insults and ignorance. Knowing the type of business person I am, I would have helped them out at a reduced rate. But feeling insulted and this customer holding leverage of altering her review (which she did immediately) and hurting my reputation, I choose to stand up for myself. And this is the outcome. Unfortunately when someone thinks they are right or entitled to something. There is not much more that I can do. My reviews speak for them myself and you can see this customer previous review on the page.

Installed the wrong carpet!! I ordered a grey and received an ivory/brown carpet. Delayed my construction and caused me to take another day off work. When I spoke to the owner about responsibility and compensation for the issue he informed me that these issues are very common and they fix the problem, they don't compensate the customer, and they still had to make their profit regardless of what happens. If you want it done right the first time RUN don't walk from this company!
