We were lucky to find Scott/Maplewood Kitchens through Homestars. We wanted someone local in Durham to help us assemble and install an IKEA kitchen. We found Ikea’s quote to be relatively expensive and had seen mixed reviews on their third party installers. Scott’s price was very reasonable and fair and he did much more work for nominally more than the estimate from Ikea, which was for assembly and installation ONLY. For example, removal/disposal, tiling backsplash, range hood vent and install, built a bulkhead, re-routed and added a plug, moved a floor vent and fixed our overfridge cabinets when the fridge didn’t fit! He suggested replacing the original cabinet doors with drawer fronts, which worked like a charm. Scott was upfront about squeezing us in between his custom kitchen installations, but still finished in a timeline that we were comfortable with. We are thrilled with the results! Our kitchen was transformed from an ugly 80s kitchen with little counter space to a modern and functional one. He also did some other work for us, which I haven’t included in the cost here. Scott is friendly, honest, hardworking, and takes pride in his work. We highly recommend him and would work with him again on other projects!

I spoke with Brandon and Chad, who were friendly and helpful throughout the process. It was very convenient to do everything by email and phone - they were prompt with providing multiple options/quotes at the same time to minimize back and forth, and dropping off colour samples/brochure. I also liked that the quotes included tax and installation. A neat feature is that they were able to prepare a digital image of the new door on our actual house, to give us an idea of what it would look like. Delivery was exactly within the timeframe stated. We were pleased with the workmanship and professionalism and would highly recommend WGD. Thanks!

Hi Sabrina,
Thank you for your review. Chad and I are happy you love your new door. We try our best to give our clients the highest level of customer service we can. We are always looking for ways to be ahead of the curve. Being able to provide pictures and shop drawings of your new door is something we feel is important for your piece of mind, and something other garage door company's rarely take the time and effort to do.
We really appreciate your business. Please let your friends and family know about us if they ever need a repair or replacement.

Brandon, and the WGD Team.

Chris was prompt at responding to my husband's request for a quote. He came by and was able to verbally provide an estimate, which was appreciated (followed by a written quote). We needed large branches to be cut off from two large trees and to raise the canopy. We also needed a fruit bush and dead tree to be removed. It was within our budget, and after giving us the quote, Chris said he would throw in a couple of other things, like trimming our spruce and cedar in the front yard. Even though Chris was busy, from first point of contact to the trimming/removal was less than one week. The team went above and beyond, also trimming other bushes in the front yard, and the clean-up was impressive. The backyard looks fantastic! We highly recommend Chris and would call him again. He's a really nice guy - we are happy to support local. Thanks!
