Maricio and his team did a great job and managed the project very well. With regular status updates and good communication, I was always kept up to date on the progress of the project. We had some initial permit related delays which prolonged the build time, but Maricio and his team managed to do the work during off hours and on weekends to get the job done. And with some of the extra work that I wanted, Maricio always kept the costs down. I would highly recommend Northside Contracting to anyone looking for commercial contracting work.

I initially got a quote for $3680 for a R96V plus $450 for installation from a guy named Alex. I decided to check around and found Yorkville here on Homestars. Ben quoted me $2700 for the same unit including installation. He was very good to deal with and did an excellent job. I happy to have a found an honest HVAC guy I can deal with in the future.

Don't trust these guys. Alex is the boss and and the guy I dealt with. I miscalculated and over paid the balance by $175. I realized it and called him and he agreed and that he would give me my money back. It's been two months of excuses when I was able to reach him. It's always the same. "I don't forget and I'm not ignoring you. I'll get you the money next week." He never calls or texts me back and he rarely answers my calls. At this point I'm fed up of his excuses. Stay away from these guys. Young guys with no integrity and honor. As you can see from the other reviews, I'm not the only one he's screwed. So still no luck from Alex. I should add that after the AC job, I got a quote from Alex about a furnace replacement. He quoted me $3680 for a Rheem R96V plus $450 installation. I checked around and found someone else that quoted me $2700 for the same model installed. So not only does Alex not honor his word, he also way over charges. I'm guess my AC was over priced as well. Stay away from these guys like the plague.

Cam was the guy I dealt with. Two workers came to do the actual work. The work was generally ok. The main problem was they didn't clean out and fill the edges where the interlock ends, usually against some landscaping rocks. I complained about this right away and Cam gave some excuse about that not being included as it's part of the landscaping. On top of that they missed interlock area under my patio stairs. He said they didn't see it. He agreed to do but only if I paid him $75. I agreed. He came and I again complained about the missed edges. He said he'll get the guys to do it. They did a small section very poorly. Complained again about the edges when he came to collect the $75. He said he'll take care of it next year if I use his services again. I said I wouldn't based on his service so far. He got angry and left and said to keep the $75 and that he does thousands of square feet a year. After some communication via email, he agreed to clean out and fill out the edges of garden beds. His guys came and completed the job. After all that, the job was done to my satisfaction and their price was very competitive. I would recommend them to friends with a warning to make sure all the details are agreed to before hand.
