We asked Ray and five other companies to come and give us estimates for replacement of all of our windows (17 openings) and two patio doors. Ray instilled in us the highest degree of confidence and we felt safe given that Ray not only did the estimate but would be the one doing the work as well. His price was very competitive with the lower end of the rest of the bids we had gathered. His calm demeanor and professionalism were assets to the job for sure. All went well with the installation and when Ray ran into difficulty when installing our Master Bedroom windows, he hit the issue head-on and devised a solution without any panic. The whole wall was drenched by a slow, long-term leak of water and all the studs and drywall were disintegrating. Ants had built homes in the wall to add insult to injury. Ray fixed everything. We're so happy with our Vinylbilt windows. They look great and we can't wait to see the positive affect on our utility bills. Ray also did some extra work to make a couple of steps leading from the patio doors to the back deck. He did an amazing job all around and we highly recommend him.

I replaced a 13 year old non-functioning A/C unit with Reliance Holmes (R-H) last May and I have waited until now to post this review in order to provide a more complete view on the various elements of service provided by this company. I contacted a few companies and did research using Homestars on all that I spoke with. I was most impressed with the sales person from R-H, Trevor. He is a young guy but very straight-forward and knowledgeable and hungry for my business. I was pleased with the negotiation process and the final price I paid for a 3T Carrier unit. I was also happy with any interactions I had with Erin in sales management. The installation went okay but the installers were not happy that the salesperson had promised that they would replace the existing foundation mounts with new ones as the Carrier unit was much bigger than my old one. I would chalk that up to mis-communication. After the installers left, I had to clean up quite a mess in my furnace room - black soot like stuff all over the floor. They also refused to lay back down the patio stones around the A/C unit as they were before likely because they would have had to cut the stones. The stones are still sitting there with earthy holes where they should have been put back. They also gave me a cover for the unit that was way too small which I only discovered just before the first snow. They have since replaced the cover. When I went to put the unit on this year (2015), it do not work. I called the service line and the person was extremely rude, suggesting that it wasn't warm enough to even put the unit on yet and mis-leading me about the function of the thermostat in order to get me not to request a service call. After threatening to charge me extra for a call even though the unit was less than a year old, they finally relented and sent someone out. It turned out that the evaporator coil was defective and that the coolant completely leaked away. They sent a new coil and tried to put me off on the installation but I persisted. They came the next day and installed the new coil and I am back with a working unit. The guy that came was nice enough and seemed to have a lot of experience but he left a huge mess in my furnace room again. This time there was another pile of black soot along with a soaked oily rag which he left on the floor. He also failed to replace the furnace filter which I discovered only a month later when it was time to change the filter. So, overall, this was a negative experience so far and I would caution anyone to do their own research first. Don't let the installers go until you have inspected the work site and you are 100% satisfied.
