We first hired Beyond Concrete in 2014 after seeing this company at the Ottawa Home Show and having gotten discouraged at the quotes put forward by traditional (and staid) landscaping companies. Our first project in 2014 was new front steps in a stunning stamped concrete design. They turned out so well that we hired the team to do a large back patio, also in stamped concrete. Both look amazing. We are so pleased with the look and service we got (on time, on budget) that we will definitely used them for other hardscaping in our backyard.

We recently hired Strokes of Genius Painting to repaint the main floor of our townhouse. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the work that was done for us and the professionalism of the staff who did it. Rolling in with a six-person crew, the team took care of absolutely everything, including moving a lot of clunky furniture, in three short days. We didn't have to lift a finger. It was a miracle. They were particularly sweet to an elderly blind gentleman living with us who occasionally had to make his way through areas where they were working, always making sure there was nothing in the way he could trip on and helping him get to his destination. I would not hesitate to recommend Strokes of Genius for your painting needs.

We recently hired Right Angle Renovations on the recommendation of Sarah Kidder Designs to update the original kitchen and main bathroom in our 1980s townhouse. In the kitchen, the team factory painted the cabinet doors and put in a new countertop. In the bathroom, they installed a new tub/shower, toilet, vanity, floor, tiling and lighting. We are thrilled with the results! Both projects were completed on time and on schedule. They made sure to tidy up at the end of each day. A big shout out to Daniel, Matt and, especially, Paul and Zack for their careful and painstaking work.

After spotting Sarah Kidder at the Ottawa Home Show and checking her out on Homestars, we decided to seek her advice on how best to update the main floor and bathroom of our lost-in-the-1980s townhouse. We, homeowners with very different ideas, were sinking into deadlock. Thank goodness we called her. Sarah was very quickly able to help us focus on what we really wanted, to bridge our different styles and to put forward very clear and detailed design proposals. She managed all the contracting, product selection, purchasing and deliveries to make sure we had what we needed when we needed it. Once work began, she also handled the myriad of details that can turn your brain to mush -- like, do you want your tiles to run this way or that? Most importantly, Sarah understood that we were working with a very fixed budget so she was careful to juggle buying decisions to bring the project in on budget. Thanks, Sarah, for everything! We look forward to working with you again. Because, once you update one part of your house ...
