We had the fans in a gas fireplace replaced by Kirkstone, and shortly after, the fireplace started randomly shutting off. We weren't sure if it was related to the new fans, but Kirkstone came back right away, and even though it took multiple tries with multiple parts, they figured out the problem (which was complicated and unrelated to the fans they installed!) and didn't give up until it was fixed. Totally impressed. Harvey is especially amazing! We'll use them for all of our HVAC service from now on.

We sprung a leak where the main pipe to our property meets the city water supply, and needed to get it identified and fixed immediately. Pristine wasn't the cheapest, but I appreciated that they gave a fixed price (others were more wishy-washy) and could complete the work right then and there. They identified the problem, replaced a cheap plastic part with a copper one, and did a good job of cleaning up the worksite. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Thank you for the feed back. It's our policy to provide an upfront quote for the work, so there's no surprises when given your final bill. We're glad you were happy with this and the work provided.

There's little I dislike more than shopping for tile, and I went to a bunch of different stores in Vancouver and Richmond, but I was exceptionally impressed with the staff at Richmond Tile. They're friendly, knowledgeable, had great insights and suggestions, helped me choose the perfect tile and grout colour, and took care of everything quickly and efficiently - and they stock a great range of tiles. Totally impressed! Next time I need tile it will be the only place I go. (Love the little dog I met there too.)

Thank you Jennifer. The Utah tile you chose will work great in your mudroom.

We were doing a main floor renovation and wanted to add a kitchen island. We went to a bunch of cabinet places, and there were so many options — couldn't decide on style, size, counter material, etc. I saw that Genesis was well-reviewed on another site, so I called them for a quote. Julie Dinnissen came to our place, and from the start we was impressed. She listened carefully to what we had in mind, asked lots of questions, then gave us fabulous ideas and suggestions on style, layout, countertop, etc., at various price points. Basically, she turned what was a very complicated process into a straightforward and easy one. She was incredibly patient with our many questions too. The cabinets were delivered on time, and are very high quality construction — very impressed — and we love our Cambria quartz countertops. All of the installers were quick, efficient and professional. Now our island looks fabulous and works perfectly for us. Total pros, worth the slightly higher cost, highly recommended!!

We were doing a basement reno, and there was a big drop in the ceiling where the heating ducts ran. We called Westmount Heating hoping they could install smaller ducts so we could gain some headroom. We were on an extremely tight timeline, but Lorenzo made time to come and give an estimate asap, and immediately offered a solution that would raise the drop in the ceiling by six inches (!!) — way more than we thought we could. Trouble was, we needed the work done that day or the next, and he was booked solid — but he rearranged things so he could do it, even though it meant working on a Saturday. He and his coworker were on time, quick, professional, and did a fabulous job at a reasonable price — and he offered helpful suggestions to both us and our contractor about how to properly frame the area, etc. We were thrilled, and are so happy we found Westmount; my only regret is that we didn't find them earlier, as we've had several not-so-good experiences with other heating and plumbing companies. Thanks Westmount!!

We were doing a big reno and had to empty out our entire main floor — which included moving and storing a sofa and all of our major appliances (washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher, fridge). We looked into pod storage, then hiring movers to help get the stuff into the pods, etc., but it was pricey and complicated. So we were thrilled when they found Reay's — a local company that's been around for decades, and they do both moving and storage. The moving guys were quick, courteous, cheerful and total pros, really careful with our stuff, and they took it away to their storage facility, stored it for a month, then brought it all back when we were finished the reno. Excellent service, did a fabulous job, reasonably priced, and no surprises like there so often are with both moving and storage companies. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

We did a huge main floor reno that involved removing everything, including the kitchen, and stripped everything down to the floor joists. It took weeks to get everything done, leveled, drywalled, ducted, etc., then we finally got the subfloor down and all we had to do was put down the hardwood we ordered. Home stretch! EXCEPT we discovered the hardwood supplier (Lauzon) had sent the wrong colour of floor. And it came from Quebec. And they didn't even make the colour we ordered anymore. And it would take four weeks to get a replacement. And in the meantime we'd have to rent other accommodation for a month and move twice. Nightmare. The better/faster option was to lay the floor and refinish it instead, and Restoration Hardwood stepped in to save the day! We called mid-week one week, and by Monday they were onsite refinishing the floor. By Friday it was completely done, and done beautifully, and on the next Monday we were able to resume the renos. Such a relief. Total pros, easy to deal with and do great work, and absolutely saved our butts. What's not to love?

Hi Jennifer! It was our pleasure to come and work on your home. I'm glad we were able to relieve some of the stress you guys were going through. From our conversations afterwards, it is great to hear how pleased you are with the work. And once the final floor protection comes up, I'm sure you'll be enjoying them for years to come.
