When looking at Shaw Carpet broadloom, I asked about off-gassing and was told that carpets gave off less gasses than paint. Once installed, I could smell & taste the gasses. Researching, I realized that I did not want to sleep with a toxic gas mixture. 4 months later, the carpet is sitting in my spare room still giving off toxic fumes. I feel very poorly treated by Hallmark Carpet as they took no responsibility at all for having told me that the carpet would be low in emissions. What has happened to customer service?
