2/10

I was contacted by phone SEVERAL times and it always seemed urgent that I booked NOW always using the same line"please book us, please mam, please you must book now, right now, you cannot wait this is important, please mam, understand mam, please you must do this". I am in the middle or renovations and did want the service but was not sure when. They kept calling and calling and he insisted I finally gave up and made an appointment at that time for a month time even if I had no clue when reno's would be done. Reno’s are still not done but they would not take no for an answer. When they arrived they did introduced themselves as “duct cleaners” and were kind but just as pushy as the caller on selling me more services. I was not aware that they did not clean the furnace ducts I thought it was included in the “ducts cleaning” :(, but for another 150$ they would happily do it! I am not sure how good of a job they did to be honest, they connected a large suction hose to the furnace, squirted some compressed air into each vent dust bunnies flew EVERYWHERE and that was it. Remembering the other services like this I had in the past, all the ducts had been blocked and cleaned one at a time inside and out after the “duct cleaning” hose had dine it’s job. They said they would apply some anti-bacterial liquid and some “good smelling something” but I did not see them do it or smell either one, except for fumes from their truck during and after the service. The large suction hose was dragged through the mud in my front entrance and the mud was then dragged all over my hard wood floor the ceramic in the kitchen all over the stairs in basement stairs and hard wood floor, dust bunnies all over the place, It upsets me that no precautions were taken to protect the floor from the mud on the suction hose or for the dust from going all over furniture, walls, appliances and floors and of course they did not clean anything after! A few minutes after they left, I get a call from the same marketing guy who had begged me to take their services prior to this appointment begging me once more to get the service asking, I guess they don’t keep track of who got what, Oh yeah, they only accept cash and won’t give receipts, no wonder they can’t keep up! I said “sir your guys just left my house 10 minutes ago” and he says “oh! how was the service?”, so I began to tell him that there was mud chunks all over my floors, he rudely interrupts me as I am saying mud chunks all over the floor and he says “MAM!!! MAM!!! STOP! STOP!!! MAM!!! it is dust! it will go away when furnace turns on”, I said “NO, the major mud stains and the mud pellets all over the floors and stairs will not GO AWAY when the furnace turns on”, as I am trying to continue, again, interrupts me and says , MAM! you know nothing!, MAM STOP! Then he says rudely and I could not believe my ears “ HOW MUCH YOU PAY FOR SERVICE?” OH MY MY he insulted me once more, I then told him I could not believe his answer and again he said “you paid cheap” I said PARDON ME, 200$ for duct cleaning, who you kidding! I hung up out of frustration, continuing the conversation was not worth my saliva. I know now from reading all of the reviews, (which I should have done before saying yes) that I am not the only VERY unhappy customer and I will not get any satisfactory answers from these guys but excuses as to why they could not clean the ducts properly or even why they did not clean up the a mess upon completion of their service. To add insult to injury, the “Duct cleaners” asked me for a tip at the end of the job while I was paying and when I said to “NO! you are joking right, look at my floors and walls?” His answer was “everyone gives tips, everywhere you go, you give tip, we need tips” After seeing my face, I think he realised I was not joking! He then said Mam I am ok I am joking don’t give tips it is ok. I felt bad to be honest so I went looking around for some change out of petty, but luckily none was found. As I read in another review “There are established procedures for duct cleaning that they do not follow”. After basically being told I got what I paid for. I say I did and I could not agree more; CHEAP and HORRID service. I say as others have in their reviews “ For duct cleaning use a reputable firm and ask exactly what their procedure is. Watch what they do and make sure they do what they said they would do. Check on the web for the correct process to clean ducts and read their reviews.” Good luck in your duct cleaning!
