We did a fairly large project encompassing our entire backyard in Spring of 2023. Islandscaping did a terrific job on the stonework, which included some extensive excavation, tricky cuts, working around existing softscape, electrical, gas, a new hot tub etc, and dealing with lots of little changes as they came up. It looks fantastic and we were also pleased with the prompt follow up to any little issues we had after the main job was done. It's always a pleasure to deal with people who take such care and pride in their work. Highly recommended.

We have a fabulous new backyard now, a major feat considering our oddly shaped yard that has always been a challenge in terms of making the best use of the space. Goretti of Galego Designs is a true artist and brought our vague goals to life for us in the best way. I consider every aspect of the project a success, from the design to execution, and also applaud the top notch project management and communication from Goretti. Highly recommended.

Jan was the first one to respond to my Homestars request and I felt right away after speaking to him that he was an expert. His communication leading up to the job was very good and proactive, which is something I always appreciate. He sorted out all the details, permit etc, and was right on time the day of the project. Everything was completed well and to my satisfaction. Strongly recommended.

I had a small job of trimming for three trees on my property, and Glenwood was the only company from Homestars to get back to me. I had a prompt visit from an estimator and had the work done about a week later. The crew was on time, professional, pleasant to speak with, and did a great job without leaving a mess behind. I had dripping sounds during a heavy rain. Mr Roof Repair had a competitive price for an assessment and repair, but what won me over was they were WAY more transparent than other places I called about what to expect. The service guys Pietro and Dan were great, there were no surprises and the follow up report was very professional and useful. Highly recommended.

I called CoreTemp regarding a heating issue in the house. Richard coached me on some things to try on my own before booking a service appointment, which I appreciated. I did eventually have to have CoreTemp come though, and Richard identified the issue in minutes and replaced a part with stock from his truck. He also gave me some useful advice regarding diagnosing and troubleshooting furnace issues in the future, and some other heating and humidity issues in the house. Highly recommended. EDIT late 2016 - a couple of years later I had a minor flood in the basement from a failed pump on the furnace. Richard returned my call from his vacation in Florida within a couple of hours and referred me to a colleague who was covering for him. Awesome. EDIT April 2017 - Richard helped me diagnose and solve a furnace problem over the phone on a holiday weekend, which I greatly appreciated.
