Got kymand roofing to replace our roof after going through a few quotes, Chris was friendly and came for the quote and went through everything extremely in depth and my expectations were clear. This was early Aug 2022 We made a proper agreement on the roof replacement and a handshake deal for extra downspout and gutter repair. This was a major reason for going in with them as they were a higher quote but with the included gutter/downspout work we were okay with the price and promises. Come 2 weeks later, roof install occurs which was quick and efficient although very messy. Crew dropped materials on our very expensive perennial garden, fortunely no major damage but a complete lack of care. No drone or chris showed up on install as he said he would, first hint that kymand was overselling their promises. Crew left a considerable mess of shingles and old underlay that i had to pick up the day after Didn't really care though, a little irritated but still manageable. Week and a half later, dumpster still sitting on my lawn killing my grass and excess material. Had to follow up on this, and now I'm starting to become really unimpressed. Now the kicker, its dec 22,I called Chris on hoping i would forget about this and not pursue, got a speil about no workers etc still no gutter work or downspout work done, tried to book repeatedly and even had a time booked for earlier this week but no show no communication. So ive finally decided to write a review. Numerous issues of clean workspace garage, material and dumpster not being picked up and the whole extra. As well we considered them for solar, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THEM FOR SOLAR. They add a finders fee of close to 33% (37k quote for a job that is really 23k for perspective) be smart and go to the reputable installers like zeno, firesky, panelupgrade experts and get a real quote without the middle man. Fortunely for me, i know verbal contracts are legal in alberta, and i have my recourse ahead of me as they've clearly shown no disregard for breach of contract.

Reg came out and assessed the door replacement, was very precise and clear with the planned install and upfront about all costs. On the day of the install very clean and tidy, and the door closes the gaps and seals perfectly with our uneven garage floor. Reg is a perfectionist as i heard on the second day when he came back to pick up the old door and make minor adjustments he ended up re doing the weather stripping as he wasnt happy with it initially. Cant complain about someone who takes extreme pride in their work and provides and exceptional install

Jeff came in, gave a resonable quote and was able to deal with our split schedule due to other trades needing access to the attic space. Let us know of diffencines that needed corrected from original build and was clean efficient and thorough. Would highly recommend for an attic reinsulation job including the removal and prep work as it was painless experience with them. They were also very flexible in schedule changes due to the other trades and the govt as this was being done by the greener grants program which they set us up for success.

Ever since JPS installed the furnace in 2019 at my residence we've had subpar AC in the house. The AC unit was installed 2 years before by another company for reference. We finally decided to act on this, and JPS technician came out and immediately diagnosed a compressor failure in the AC unit and advised since still under warranty to refer back to the company that installed. JPS advised an ~$3000 cost for them to replace. I had mentioned that i noticed airflow had been suboptimal in cooling phase to the tech but was told this is normal. After consulting with multiple inept techs at the other company and being given the run around from them I found out how to access the dealer settings in my Daikon One thermostat that JPS had installed. CFM was showing at 600 for a 2.5 ton AC unit and from my readings and understanding should have been at least 50% higher towards 1000CFM. Since the Daikon one wouldn't let me adjust settings i ultimately said screw it and re-installed my nest thermostat and reseting the furnace dipswitches as per the manual and low and behold my AC is working fine now. Either Daikon one thermostat was not setup correctly in first install by JPS, and was not even reviewed nor was the airflow issue reviewed on site visit. I am very versed in mechanical and electrical systems and solved the issue but for anyone without a trade knowledge this would have possibly cost them over $1000 without resolution, and upwards of $3000-$5000 if a full unit was replaced- Which would not have solved the issue.
