I hired Happy Construction from Homestars to address a bunch of little finishing jobs. Grouting tile, caulking, painting, sanding, baseboards, new tiles, repairing cracks. There was a lot to do and I wanted it done to perfection. Kris and Monika came over several times to deal with everything quickly and expertly. They were kind, professional, punctual, thorough, and best of all, expert in everything they did. I could not be happier with their work. I highly recommend anyone to hire Happy Construction.

Marc, thank you so much for the kind words . We are so happy with the way the porch turned out. A glass aluminum railing face with an aluminum picket style stair is a style you can't go wrong with! Well see you soon for your next railing project! Enjoy!!

Alex and Aldo laid the floor tile on my main floor. Within a couple weeks literally all of the grout has crumbled. I had a couple experts come in and they agreed that the grout was mixed incorrectly. One floor tile spontaneously cracked and another has popped up. Stair tiles were laid totally crooked despite asking for them to be laid level. Not just a little off level but like 30 degrees off level. Instead of returning to complete the job Alex has rescheduled repeatedly at the last minute and also simply not shown up when scheduled. He ignores my texts. When he finally answered he "welcomed a day in court". Professionalism to the max! I've included screenshots of our dialogue in case you're unsure whether to do business with Alex

I hired TTR to remove a small tree. We arranged a date for completion while I was on vacation. They called me to confirm the day prior, and I confirmed. I came back from vacation and the tree was still there. They somehow failed to show up despite the confirmation. They arranged an alternate date and successfully removed the tree on that day for a reasonable price.

We are glad that you are happy with the work performed by our crew. When emergency jobs arise we are obligated to fulfill them as soon as possible and sometimes non hazardous jobs must be rescheduled at a later date to deal with these emergency situations. All the best, TTR.

My home was badly damaged in a wind storm so my insurance company asked for an engineer's report that assesses the damage. My emergency response team hired Amr Robah of YEJ Studio to conduct the report. Amr was supposed to come May 25 for a preliminary assessment at 10AM. He arrived at 11:30AM. On May 28 he delivered a report that only assessed the front porch of the house. In the report he misspelled words like "framing" and "masonry", as well as my street name. Amr was supposed to return May 29 at 11AM to assess the inside of the house. He arrived around 1PM. He asked for some walls and ceilings to be removed to be able to observe some damage. Amr returned June 11 and once again was hugely discourteous with his poor punctuality. He verbalized his observations and promised a quick report. After promises daily of the report being delivered and many days of silence to my inquiries, I received a draft report June 20 (9 days later in an urgent situation). Once again the report misspelled words such as their own street name and "cracks", and it had random punctuation and layout that made the report totally unprofessional. I offered my comments on the report. Daily I was promised an updated report (when he was reachable). He then called on June 27 and said he needs more pictures and will send someone at 4:30PM. Nobody showed up. He called me June 28 and told me that they didn't need the images and will rush out the report. Today is June 30 (19 days later in an urgent situation) and I still am without a report. Amr Robah has already been paid. I did some research about filing a complaint with Professional Engineers of Ontario and learned that Amr Robah is NOT a licensed engineer in Ontario. I also see from reviews everywhere that this unprofessional, unreliable and incompetent service is what all clients receive from YEJ Studio and Amr's other company, Revival Design & Management. Just search for "Amr Robah complaint" and you'll see his track record of BBB complaints, lawsuits, and mountains of clients swindled and duped on Homestars, TrustedPros.ca and otherwise. Like most frauds, Amr uses many different addresses and companies to keep evading authorities and clients. His reviews speak for themselves and I pity anyone who hires Amr for any work at all.

Caspian was a referral from a trusted plumber. He (Kaz) was to build the cabinet for a dishwasher. He was very punctual for the work. The work was done incorrectly, which was noticed by the plumber, and required a second visit from Caspian. Caspian redid the work, and announced completion. Upon inspection it was again incorrect. Caspian continued working on the cabinetry. Upon announcing completion for the third time I had to point out that the toe kick (the cover that runs across the base of your counters) was not attached and that the work was covered in nicks, indents, scratches and other unacceptably bad cosmetic issues. He incorrectly glued on the toe kick, which today remains detached. Bottom line is that if you want your "master carpenter" to produce work that looks like your first bad project in woodshop, hire Caspian, otherwise steer clear. Don't assume that high prices mean higher quality from seasoned professionals.
