I recently had Green Side Up Contracting redo my small backyard – taking out the existing grass, fixing a retaining wall and installing new interlock and a garden bed. The whole team at Green Side Up was fantastic from start to finish. Jay provides detailed quotes, does a thorough walk through before the works starts, and Pat (foreman) and crew were always on time, gave regular updates on how the work was progressing, and kept the work site clean. Wanted an electric fireplace insert to replace an old wood-burning fireplace. Went to a number of stores that were not helpful when I said I wanted electric, not gas. Went to Toronto Comfort Zone and they answered all my questions, showed me the different options and features; and the best way to find the right size fireplace for my room. All in all a great experience.

I had called Harry Mercer on the recommendation of a friend. Right from the first phone call - they were professional, prompt and provided all information (detailled estimate) quickly. The day of the job - they arrived on time (7:30 AM)- with enough help to complete the job in less time than they estimated (finished by 3 pm). They put plywood over the patio doors and tarps on the deck to catch all debris. When they were done - you could not tell they had been there. There was not a scrap of shingle, or a nail to be found. I paid by credit card - and in less than a week from the time the job was complete - I had a detailed receipt mailed to me. I would not hestitate to recommend them.
