I first went to the Chesterfield Shop with a friend a few years ago when she was looking for a futon - she found one there no problem (nice wood frame, very sturdy, and great looking - and she got a great price too. I recently went back (about a year ago) to look for furtniture for myself, and I found exactly what my friend and I had found a few years earlier - this place has great selection and great prices. The salesman with whom I dealt was extremely helpful and friendly, and even willing to 'haggle' a bit on the price (without making me feel like a criminal for trying to get a good deal). I would (and have) recommend this place to friends with confidence.

I love Pier One, and I have bought several items there, from cushions to picture frames to lamps. I find it a really nice place to find accents for my home, but I wouldn't buy everything for my home decorating project(s) there because I also find it quite pricey. Having said that, however, I certainly don't mind paying a bit more for the occasional piece of decor that really 'classes up' a room or space - for example, I have a really nice framed mirror in my front hall from Pier One that just makes the whole front hall a lot 'nicer' looking. I also find the staff there very friendly, without being pushy or stuck-up. I have recommended this place to friends, if for nothing more than a place to get great decor ideas (and they usually find one or two things when they go).
