I hired Moody Construction to help me complete my 3rd floor master bedroom renovation. I had some unconventional ideas of what I wanted, and Greg was able to see my vision and create something beautiful for me. I have never been as happy with a renovation project! His workmanship is meticulous, and he is a pleasure to work with. Always punctual, courteous, and tidy. He is great at problem solving and managing and coordinating the entire project. I am looking forward to having him back for my next project!

We have used this company for years, and have never been happy with their service. Last year they damaged our garage door, and refused to do anything to repair it or compensate us. We reluctantly signed with them again, as the competition was either unavailable or too expensive. This year, their service got even worse. After Toronto was hit with 25 cm of snow, they did not come to clear our driveways until 6 days later, when we had already resorted to doing it ourselves. They were impossible to reach by phone or email. I finally got a reply after threatening to take them to Small Claims Court. They indicated that they had truck difficulties, and offered nothing in terms of compensation. They have yet to reply to subsequent messages from me, or any of the messages from my neighbour. The company demands the full contract payment at the start of the season, so we have fully paid for their services for the entire season. In return, they are not even sufficiently resourced to be able to reply to all of their customers, by email or telephone. $2,200 paid to them, and they can't return a phone call? We originally hired them under a different company name. Rosedale Snow Removal was aggressively advertising for new clients in our neighbourhood this season, so we contacted them only to be told that they are the same company. I have also learned that they go by other 2 other names, all registered to the same business address.

We hired the Duct Cleaning Specialists to come to our building, and clean and inspect the dryer vents for all 9 units. They discovered that some units had bathroom vents connected to the dryer vents, and recommended that we have those cleaned as well. They arrived on time, and made a particular effort to not only clean the vents, but to correct any deficiencies in how the vents were installed. Some units had extra long venting zig-zagging across the floor! They also provided us with photos showing the before and after. We were all shocked at how much lint build up was there, and so thankful to have had it professionally cleaned. We were also particularly appreciative not only of the cleaning job, but of their efforts to educate us about proper maintenance and how to mitigate fire hazards going forward. We are looking forward to having them come back every year, so that we can continue to sleep soundly knowing that we have reduced a significant fire hazard in our building. As one owner exclaimed: This is really scary stuff. I can't thank you enough for arranging this. Paul and his partner were wonderful. My duct (correct term?) was sitting on the floor. He explained why it needed to be changed, and then did it for me. I must admit that until they came, I didn't give the dryer vents much thought, but having talked to them and seen the pictures, I'm even more grateful to you and my neighbours who were proactive, and helped us avoid what could have been a disaster. An added bonus is that my clothes dryer is much more efficient, so, not only is it safer, it is saving me time and money.

I hired Belyea Bros last year to install a combination tankless hot water and radiant floor heating system, which required bringing a new gas line to my unit. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional, and I felt very confident regarding the advise I received. The installation process was well managed, and I am very pleased with the end results. Warm floors, hot water and significant savings in my hydro bills. Looking forward to continuing to work with them as my radiant floor heating project continues. Thank you!!

I signed a RENTAL contract for a hot water tank, and have now been informed that the only way to terminate this contract is to PURCHASE the unit. I moved into a new residence in October 2013. Within 2 weeks, the hot water tank leaked. Direct Energy came and replaced the unit, and I signed a new RENTAL contract. I have now decided to convert to natural gas, and have already purchased a new tankless water heater from a different company. I contacted Enercare (previously Direct Energy) to inform them that I wanted to end my rental contract, and have the unit removed. At this point they informed me that my only option to terminate the contract is to PURCHASE the unit, at the full buy out price ($776). They informed me that this was clear in the rental contract that I signed. I signed the contract while the technician was standing there with a clipboard waiting for me to finish, and at no point was I advised that I was agreeing to actually purchase the unit. The termination clause is buried deep in the fine print, that would have taken more than 30 min to fully review. There is a commonly understood distinction between renting and purchasing, and if this company has decided to blur that distinction, then it is up to them to ensure that the consumer understands that they have changed the meaning of the word RENT. If I wanted to own a hot water tank, I would have purchased one at the start. The reason that I decided to rent was that I was not sure what my long term plan would be, and thought that I may decide to change to natural gas, so I wanted to remain flexible.
