Hired Visions to strip, sand and refinish our two cedar pergolas, our cedar deck and skirting, and our pressure treated fence. Overall the service was great, the workers were great, they worked hard and were respectful of our home, and did an amazing job in this crazy heat.
I was so impressed with the reviews posted here that I contacted Doors and More to replace a framed shower enclosure that had been installed incorrectly. We are very impressed with the new beautiful frameless door and enclosure in our master ensuite. Three weeks from estimate to installation. Frank responded right away to my online request. The estimator/measurement professional was knowledgeble, thorough, courteous and respectful of our home. Phil and Lawrence installed it beautifully. Knowing the difficulty we have been having getting reputable caulking companies in to re-caulk our shower, which apparently is too small of a job for them to waste any time on, our installers proceeded to caulk our shower for us. They went above and beyond and for that we are grateful to finally be able to use our master shower again. Both Phil and Lawrence were courteous, professional, and very careful with our home during the installation and removal. They protected our new hardwood without us having to ask or oversee. It is sad to say that this level of service is now a rarity. I will definitely use their services again and recommend them to everyone. Thank you!!

Requests for photos of entry point were ignored, as we wished to see if we should hire a stucco company for the repair or not. The one way exit cage was poorly installed, causing unnecessary damage. Rather than bolt it to the side of the dormer, they drilled holes into the front of our stucco facade, which left large holes requiring unnecessary stucco repair and repainting. In addition, they screwed into the roof, through the shingles, rather than use extra material to bend at the roof line. This could have resulted in extensive water damage during a strong rainfall. Fortunately another company was able to remove the exit cage and resolve the problem, reinforcing the previous entry point and sealing all the roof holes.
After an extensive internet search, I contacted Bat Control Specialists to remove bats from the soffit of our 2600 sq foot fairly new build. Benjamin was very knowledgeable, thorough and punctual. He sealed all potential entry points around the house, leaving two one way exits. Payment was completed upon job completion, which occurred several weeks later, when he was next in the area to remove the exits and seal them. Had we not been home, I imagine we would have received an invoice in the mail. Although very pleased with the work, the cost was fairly high, given our home was a new build and no attic cleaning was necessary, only caulking, wire mesh inserts in bricks and fire place vent coverage. That being said, Benjamin repaired and reinforced a previous shoddy squirrel removal set up by Halton Wildlife at no charge and all work comes with a five year, transferable warranty.
I appreciated your kind review and candor about price. The biggest complaint I get is always about price. Unlike buying a TV or winter vacation, spending money to solve a bat problem is no ones idea of a fun purchase. However, advertizing, gas, food, insurance, materials and sleeping in hotels seven plus months a year while serving clients all over Ontario and Quebec is costly. Despite our price you still hired us because you wanted a quality job with a good guarantee. Too many of my clients have been ripped off by non specialists and local pest companies offering cheap cures for complex bat problems. Paying Twice to have it done right is my definition of expensive. I'm glad that you mentioned price as it does help me emphasize that quality is never cheap. I'm also glad that despite being unhappy about the cost you still gave us a 10 out of 10. That's possibly the best compliment I had all year. Thank you.
