Expensive furniture peeled after 6 years; customer service non existent
We purchased an Elran sofa and power reclining chair. After 6 years, the material started peeling in spots. We have no kids or pets and it is just my husband and I and we are very gentle on our items. Now approx 7 years later, the peeling has gotten much worse and the material has peeled to the point of having to throw blankets over it. It is foam underneath and the foam sheds all over my floor. This furniture is sturdy and should have lasted years the way we treat it but the material is GARBAGE!!! I tried to reach someone at Elran and they did not call back for weeks. I called again and the lady tried to put me back in touch with the person who did not return my call; I tried to tell her I did not want to speak with that person as they failed to call me back....she cut me off and then transferred me anyway. Then I tried to reach the President, he gave me his direct number to call and I always got his voicemail. He did not call me back. I decided it is not worth it but I will be glad to tell as many people as possible NOT TO BUY ELRAN! They clearly do not stand behind their products.
