I love Tap Phong Trading Company. They've got a little of everything, and are always a treasure hunter's dream. I needed some serving dishes and wanted something a little unusual, they not only had some great inspiration pieces, but great prices to match! I'd recommend this place for a good afternoon poke-around, but they're also a go-to for amazing Asian-style accessories and houseware

When we noticed water dripping in through our kitchen light fixture we were pretty sure it wasn't good. We called several different roofing companies in for quotes. Each gave us similar scopes of work, but Jamie of Got it Covered Roofing and Renovation took the time to send us pictures of the roof to let us see exactly what needed repairing. He broke down his quote - and his quote was very reasonable. He is licensed and insured and offers a warranty on his work in writing. He was prompt and arrived when he said he would. The weather was bad on the original booking date and he got in touch early to tell us he couldn't work due to high winds, rescheduling quite quickly. No surprises, no troubles - Got it Covered Roofing and Renovation was great to work with.

Thank you Lisa for writing this review. It's nice for clients to be able to see what the actual problem is up there without getting up there themselves. I warranty ALL of my work to give you some assurance and security in the job done. I want to get there in and out as quickly as you want it done! I do my best to get the job done as soon as possible and efficiently. It was a pleasure working for you. Jamie

I love Home Again, it's like the "Winners" of the renovation world. We've been doing several projects around the house and frequent the store regularly. They have both great items salvaged from reno demos as well as new merchandise that they are selling well below the price of any other retail shop. We've found a sink and vanity that looks perfect in our bathroom at half the price we'd seen it anywhere else. The tile that we'd like to use for the bathroom and kitchen backsplash is sensational and quite a bargain. For sinks, faucets, framed doors, front entry locks and more they just can't be beat in price. Selection may be limited, but they have the basics and some great unique finds too.

We'd just had mold removal done which resulted in the gutting of our bathroom and kitchen. On a tight budget and even tighter time-frame, a friend recommended RONA. We're not pro's and needed a lot of help. The customer service was superior and the prices much better than the hardware store we normally go to. One sales associate took care of us beginning to end. And another happily helped us load our van. We had come for our plumbing and bathroom needs and she sent us home with everything, even remembering the little things that we never would have considered. From product knowledge to sourcing and personality, I've never been so impressed with a big box store. We're looking forward to our next trip back to get the kitchen done.

This is the company you want to use if you have mold. I would recommend Mold.ca to anyone, I can't give them a high enough recommendation. They excelled in both the job they performed and in customer service and care - I'd give them an 11th star if I could. They made a very, very difficult and stressful situation much easier to manage. I suspected we had mold and came straight to Homestars.ca to find a few companies to inspect my home. Gregg from Mold.ca Inc. agreed to come out that afternoon. He was punctual for our appointment and walked me through the affected areas with a moisture meter showing me where he suspected mold. He recommended air testing and thought it might be a good idea to find out what type of mold was present, though since the mold and damage was visible we made the decision to proceed without it. My kitchen and bath would need to be gutted. To the walls. I had a few companies come in to get a second opinion and all had the same findings, in a similar or lower price range, but I chose Mold.ca because Gregg was the only one who explained it thoroughly and ensured there wouldn't be any surprises for me and was able to clearly explain the process and answer all of my questions. And I had a lot of questions. I respect the company for their integrity. They told me what would be done, what time-line they'd work within and what to expect. They gave me a quote and there were no extras, no ad-ons. I wanted it done as soon as possible and as quickly as possible and Gregg arranged to come within the week. Everything went so smoothly, down to Gregg arranging for a scrap metal guy to pick up some of the waste and a dumpster to come to my house for half an hour while they loaded everything in at the end of the job, instead of having the dumpster on my lawn for two days. Gregg even had his guys clear out some garbage from the back of my home, unrelated to the mold removal, saving me the trouble of having it hauled away separately. Gregg had quoted me a daily rate plus a dumpster fee. I realized when the dumpster got to my home that I hadn’t asked if there was an additional charge for the weight of the garbage and asked Gregg what the additional fee would be. He reassured me that there wouldn’t be any surprises. The rate he gave me included everything. They are simply THAT straight forward. The pleasant surprise was that they cleaned up so thoroughly afterwards, sweeping and all. And at the end, there was Gregg with a garbage bag searching the front yard and the neighbour's yard for any last remnants of garbage that may have gotten away. I’m glad I found the right guys for the job.

Having just moved into a home this summer that, shall we say, wasn't loved the way it should have been - or cleaned the way it should have been - by the previous owners, we HAD to have the ducts cleaned before we turned the heating on. We were literally afraid of what was lurking in the ducts. City Duct Cleaning came, explained all the options and even made sure we knew about their on-line coupon, saving us $25 that we didn't know about! They had a lot of great input for us and suggestions to improve circulation and heating efficiency and though they suggested they may need to treat our ducts and had explained the expense - something we were willing to do if needed- they ended up telling us the procedure wasn't necessary when they could have easily done it and taken our money for it with us being none the wiser. This type of honesty always impresses me and speaks volumes about the professionalism of a company. I would highly recommend them.

While showering this morning the water level in the tub began to rise. And rise. And rise. But it wasn't just the tub, the sinks in both the bathrooms and kitchen were also backing up. Not good. We tried to plunge and clear it but the water would not go down. We're new at being homeowners and didn't know exactly who to turn to, but with Homestars' high recommendations of DrainWorks Plumbing we made the call. We're really glad we did. They fit us in really quickly - they were at the house within an hour of our call - to accommodate our availability (it was either now or we go without water for 24 hours, not so easy with a one-year-old child. They came over, snaked it all and cleared it all out very quickly and cleaned up completely after the job. The plumber also pointed out a drain trap in the front of the house that needed to be attended to, taking the time to put the camera in to show us the issue for ourselves. He left a quote, explained our options and also let us know about a city rebate to look into that may cover the cost of the repair. We're very pleased overall with the professionalism of this company and won't need to look any further for any future plumbing needs. I'd recommend DrainWorks to anyone with a plumbing problem.
