Called Renato at 1030pm on one of the hottest days of the summer and he was at our home in less than 12 hrs. Although it was only a clogged condensate line and our AC was up and running in no time, the attention to detail, honesty and incomparable customer service was 'refreshing'.

We had several quotes for our front door replacement of our 90+ year old house...with original door! Archie was by far the most courteous and professional. He was also prompt with replies and offered very competitive rates. Too bad you can't review your other estimates. ( I couldn't believe how one in particular could be rated so highly on HomeStars after such a bad experience. And that's only with an estimate!) Anyhow, from the start Archie ensured that we were satisfied with our choices and he proved to be quite knowledgeable and helpful with details. The installation date was within a reasonable amount of time (slight set back because they wanted to perfect the colour we wanted). Archie and Maga were not only polite and hardworking, but had to problem solve some surprises. In the end, we ended up with a beautiful door that was meticulously and skillfully installed by Sobol Inc.

We were on a tight schedule, but Warren assured us that there would be ample time to complete all 8 rooms and hallways. He had to work around the 'hardwood guys' and even offered to climb in through windows and such to 'get out of the way'. He and Paul came early and left late when they had to. Unlike the hardwood installation, Warren was prompt, accommodating, professional and finished on time. After this encounter and a couple of follow-ups, Warren has proved to be trustworthy and will always be welcome in our home.

I contacted a few other cleaners (all with perfect ratings)...only one responded, who refused our business because we were one block outside his catchment area. Oh well. Also, to the non-responders, if you're not going to respond to your online service, don't offer it. I went through Clear View's online tool...very handy...and detailed. Put it this way, I went online on a Tues morning, got home Wed after work and found the invoice for a perfectly completed job! Great to find a company that still values customer service.

Thanks for the review. While we do care about customer service, we hope you do not expect "next day service" each time. You just happened to be near another client that had submitted their request a week ago. In other words, your submission in your favour...this time. ;-)

Timing was crucial as we had 4 days between closings to do some renos. All estimates were similar and agreed that the amount of time available versus the square footage wouldn't be a problem, including Doctor Hardwood. We thought we'd support a local contractor. Big mistake. We realized there was an issue when the other contractors (painters, carpet...) felt it necessary to report just how little work Doctor Hardwood (Andy) actually did. Most of the work was done by his worker (Ty). Andy blamed a no-show worker on the time delay, however, the day before our actual move he decided to beat traffic and go home @ 2pm! Even Ty agreed that the work would have been in time if Andy wasn't so "lazy". To top it off, Andy was supposed to come back to finish off a threshold. It took several phone calls just to get a receipt for payment, so needless to say he never returned to address other details (threshold, cracks, gaps etc.)
