We were planning to just patch the ceiling but instead it was ripped out, some safe n sound insulation abd 5/8 drywall on resilient channels was installed. The room is much quieter. Edward did a perfect smooth job on the drywall and cleaned up each day. He did beautiful trim work in the bathroom and came back every day until it was done. The McBride brothers have done a few jobs for us. They have great ideas and solutions and do consistently beautiful work and are a pleasure to do business with.

My regular plumber was not available for an emergency leaky valve. Plumber.ca was late and then installed the wrong type of valve. They offered to un-clog a toilet and do some other work for a price that was more than double what we eventually paid. We hired another company to replace the valve they had just installed and also install another valve that they missed due to poor communication. I asked for a 50% refund (which I thought was very reasonable considering we got nothing for the $700 we paid) In Dec they called to offer me a refund but only if I changed my review to a favourable one. In the end I decided my integrity was worth more than $350. Hopefully they will refund future dissatisfied customers without being asked and with no conditions attached. Makes me wonder how many poor reviews are removed or changed after the fact. I am ashamed to admit that I was very tempted.

My tenant called me in hysterics last night. Her cat had thrown up 3 times. She had licked the boric acid powder from her paws. The technician did not make it clear enough to me there would be powder all along the baseboards and on the kitchen floor and that the cat should have been kept in the bedroom. For expensive treatment I expect better communication. (cat is okay now)

So glad we didn't try to do this ourselves. Gregg and his highly skilled Irish crew had the experience, expertise, tools and products to treat a serious black mold problem. They did a very thorough and thoughtful job for a reasonable price. And as a bonus, Gregg was also able to give us the names of other dependable contractors to help us eliminate several sources of moisture and also to help re-frame, insulate and drywall the affected areas.
