I needed to replace my old furnace so quoted Convertible against 2 other HVAC contractors for the identical Goodman furnace. Convertible came in much cheaper. I chose them based on their price and excellent reviews on Homestars. Their sales representative Michael is very knowledgeable and responsive. He visited me to assess the layout of my home to ensure his fully costed quote including installation was correct. He also answered all my questions about heat pumps since I'm interested in installing an air sourced heat pump sometime in 2024 to replace my old air conditioner and take advantage of the generous government rebate program. I had my furnace installed yesterday by Craig and Amin who were efficient and pleasant to deal with. I want them back to install a heat pump at a future date.

I've been using Aquaman Irrigation since 2006 when they installed a Hunter SRC Plus sprinkler system on my property. The system still works fine and I use Aquaman every autumn to winterize the system to ensure no damage to the system over the winter. Aquaman always comes on time and I like the fact they've held their service fees steady over the years. They also make minor adjustments to the positioning of the sprinkler heads when I request it occasionally during the closing without charging me. This is great customer service.

I wanted a professional and high quality duct cleaning service performed on my house since I hadn't done it in years. I didn't want any discount "Blow and Go" companies that pretend they know what they are doing, are in and out of your house in an hour, and don't even use tools to loosen the dust/debris in your ducts before vacuuming it out. I figured the best way to narrow down my search was to check the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) website so I could look for local companies in the GTA who belong to NADCA and adhere to the NADCA standards for duct cleaning. The NADCA website actually lets you search for local members. Once I had my short list of NADCA members, I checked HomeStars and knew from the high number of great ratings that I had to reach out to Paul Hannah, the owner of The Duct Cleaning Specialists. I also liked the fact that Paul and his team have been certified as Air Systems Cleaning Specialists (ASCS) by NADCA. These guys are pros! My experience with Paul and his team was great from start to finish. He responded quickly to my initial e-mail query, then followed up right away with an "Appointment Request" form which was easy to complete and gave Paul the advance information he needed about my house. I also liked the fact he asked if I had any questions or concerns prior to scheduling the work. His technicians Nick and Matt showed up on time and worked steadily for almost 2.5 hours. This definitely was not a job for one person. They showed me "before" and "after" pictures which proved how well they had cleaned the ducts. They patiently answered every question I had about the process. I will clean my ducts again within 5 years and look forward to working with Paul and his team again. Go with the best!

Hi Steve. Thanks for taking the time to share this review. I am glad that you have done your research, and not just assume that every company is the same. I appreciate you putting your trust in us and glad you were happy with the work and your overall experience from start to finish. If we can be of any help in the future, it would be our pleasure to service your system again. Thanks again for your business, it is greatly appreciated. ~Paul

I asked 3 highly rated roofing contractors on Homestars in the fall of 2015 to quote on installing a new roof on my house. Robert is the owner of The Cutting Edge Roofing and he wants to inspect the roof of any prospective client and provide a quote which is a task not handled by the owners at a lot of other companies who tend to rely on estimators. I believe this allows Robert to more effectively manage the overall process from start to finish. His quote was competitive, but included extra features (e.g. 6 feet of ice and water protection) that other vendors wouldn't provide. I did my homework and learned the Cutting Edge is one of the few roofers in the GTA certified by Owens Corning to install their shingles which was another strong selling point which goes beyond merely looking at the cost figures alone. This is a very important point...you have to look at various factors to do an apples to apples comparison and read the quotes carefully and ask questions if anything is unclear. The strong warranty was also a plus. I also liked the fact that Robert let me pay for a portion of the cost using a credit card, whereas the other vendors did not offer any credit options. Robert was unable to replace my roof during the fall due to existing orders, but because he wanted the business (and I was willing to wait to have the best company do the job), he installed a tarp on my roof to protect some potentially vulnerable areas until he could complete the work in May 2016. He even installed a brown tarp at my request so it would blend in with my existing roof as much as possible. This involved extra work for him, with no extra cost to me, other than paying a reasonable deposit when he installed the tarp to ensure I would stick with his company when the job was performed months later. The work was completed in one day in May 2016 and the roof has held up quite well so far. Robert also replaced the roof on the little shed in my backyard. He surprised me by putting in a high quality roof on the shed (including valleys!!), so it looked much sharper than I had envisioned. All these little extras add up and reinforce the fact that Robert and his crew take pride in their work and care about their customers.
