We recently had a Carrier air conditioning unit installed and since it's still winter, we have yet to try it out. Everything about Spring's was professional. Excellent phone communication with Divina, Dominic came out for the quote and explained everything perfectly and offered a fair price (they weren't our only quote). David, Jeff and Tyler did a great job of the install. They were respectful, swift, clean and there was no damage done to anything in their path. We contacted them in the first place because of all their positive online reviews. We'll definitely be calling them in the future for all our HVAC needs.

After interviewing numerous contractors, we heard about Don and hired him based on his excellent reputation, realistic and intelligent suggestions and honest down to earth personality. The way he conducts his business was EXACTLY what we were looking for. He didn't try to upsell or change our minds. We had put a lot of thought and planning into what we wanted and they executed it even better than we imagined. The price was fair and we liked that we could purchase our own things like sinks, tub, tiles, fixtures, etc., while they purchased all the building materials. It allowed us to save money with no additional markup and get exactly what we wanted. There's no shortcuts with they guys, they do everything by the book, safe and built to last. Mark, the man of endless talents, does incredibly excellent quality work and the trades Don employs are great too. We've had them back for another job as we can't imagine hiring anyone else for jobs big and small. 10/10.

Jeremy is a superb arborist. He and Rob just completed a fourth job for us (spruce tree removal and stump grinding). They are excellent at pruning and sculpting as well as removing trees without damaging property or other plants. We are so glad we met Jeremy years ago (and a number of our neighbours are happy with his work too), he provides excellent punctual professional service, his estimates are clearly laid out and reasonably priced, and he’s an all-around really good guy. Fourth time satisfied, we give him another 10/10!

The short review - they did an excellent job. The longer -we have a 1956 bungalow, and this two man crew of David and Corey did a super job of sucking out all the old insulation as well as removing four big bags of construction debris left up there from the last six decades. They refilled the attic with 18” of R50 Fibreglass loose-fill insulation. They also put in two whirlybirds for our 1300 sf house and air chutes. They informed us about the government rebate program and have submitted the paperwork for us. We appreciate it and it’s nice to know we’ll get a few hundred dollars back. We went ahead with all of David’s recommendations, without question, because he came highly recommended by our very trusted contractor (and no, they're not in cahoots). The entire process took two consecutive days. We were lucky not to have to wait days for the attic to be re-insulated. The guys are polite and nice, conscientious, clean, careful and from what we can tell, they did a really good job. We would highly recommend them to friends and family and to you. They are busy, so it can take a few days to get a return call, hang in there, it’s worth it!

Hi M&T Thank you so much for the kind words, and your patience as the winter busy season starts. You were a pleasure to deal with, and a very organized and motivated client. Our favorite kind! Thanks again.

When we first met Dylan, we were impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. We read great reviews on HomeStars, so we hired him to remove an old driveway and to pour a new one with a patio. Within a week the driveway developed two large cracks right about the place where the concrete begins to slope 3/4" over a 4' distance towards the house. Also, after the first winter, areas of the driveway began spalling and flaking. We reached out to Dylan who dropped by in the spring to look at the driveway. His demeanour was disrespectful, belligerent and hostile. He was yelling at us, swearing and complaining about all the home owners who were unhappy with his workmanship. We have since contacted Dylan over a dozen times. He first agreed to fix the slope, and we discussed options, he said he was committed to honouring his contract which clearly states that the driveway will slope away from the house. Then, he changed his mind. It's now two years after the initial driveway pour and this is a snippet of Dylan's most recent email: "You are correct that I am still running the crew. I have however lost my house due to corporate debt and now renting a house near my daughter [sic] school. I will be unable to complete any work at your house. ... it has been a battle that can't be won against shotty product that we can't control. I am currently transferring out of concrete into the RCMP and hope to be done with this industry by his time next year." - end comment. Dylan has refused to accept responsibility for the work done, citing 'shotty product' is to blame rather than poor quality workmanship. So, during the last two years, I have researched the concrete industry and the chemical nature of concrete itself. A driveway that slopes towards a house is the result of poor workmanship, this is not an issue of the product. So now, we have water draining off the driveway soaking the house foundation. The issue of scaling is also one of workmanship. Concrete that has been 'overworked' will draw water to the surface and as the water moves up to the top - so do lighter weight materials, like sand. What you end up with is a concrete mixture that is no longer uniform and with surface integrity that is greatly compromised. As a result, when we began driving on the driveway the surface began spalling. Dylan was on the job site the entire time, and it was his responsibly to ensure that the concrete sloped away from the house and for how the concrete was worked. With so much variety in composition, it was Dylan who specified the concrete mixture that ultimately became our driveway. I'm sure Dylan will respond to this review to defend himself and say how sorry he is, and how it is not his fault but the fault of the 'industry' and the fault of the product but you have to ask yourself, 'Would you hire a guy who won't honour his contract?' 'Would you hire a guy who won't accept responsibility when things go wrong?' 'Would you hire a guy who is trying to get out of the industry?' We are absolutely disgusted with the dramatic switch in Dylan's behaviour. I guess money really does change a man's demeanour. Dylan's lack of honesty, integrity and professionalism is beyond description. We won't be around to see it, but I hope what goes around will come around ten-fold, he's earned it.

I met Jeremy while walking my dog one day. He was doing such a nice trim and clean up job of a neighbour's trees that I asked him for his card. We appreciate that he came to the house soon after talking on the phone. He made great suggestions and showed up on time to remove a spruce tree and trim another. He did a great job of both and thoroughly cleaned up the debris. The cherry on top was his fair pricing. A few other neighbours hired him afterward and made a point of thanking me for recommending him. Not only is he a very good arborist, he's a super nice guy, thanks Jeremy!

We chose Claw as they came highly recommended by a perfectionist we know. They did a superb job of our roof replacement 18 months ago. A couple of weeks ago, a roofer called over, from next door, to tell us that whoever did our roof did an excellent job - good to hear! He did notice one minor missing item, so I called Claw. Peter, the owner, called back within hours, he came out the next day and then his son not only added the missing item but redid that spot of the roof to make sure it was really done right. We would absolutely recommend Claw for their excellent customer service, knowledge and superb workmanship. They really do go above and beyond and we appreciate it.

Due to his top rating, I thought I'd try someone different and called Tiernan. We have two refrigerators and each had a problem. Tiernan is so experienced that within seconds he was able to accurately trouble shoot the problems with both. For our newer fridge, he replaced a part. For the 15 year old fridge in the basement, he told me it was unrepairable but that we could keep it working, and he showed me how to get around the problem to keep it safely operating. It's an otherwise great fridge and we are so relieved that we don't have to go to the trouble and expense of replacing it for a while yet. I was personally impressed by Tiernan for a number of reasons: His work is tidy, accurate and quick and his price was very fair. He's also completely honest, you get that impression the moment you open the door. And to top it off, he's a very nice man with a lot experience and knowledge that he generously shares. It was a pleasure meeting him today, and when we have a future appliance problem, he'll be the person we call. I'd like to add, this is our fourth experience where Home Stars delivered. We're very grateful for this terrific website!

We embarked on our house exterior journey with Boulevard late last Spring. From the start, we were impressed with how quickly our initial call was returned to how quickly the sales person came to our home. Our Hardie siding, as well as hard insulation underneath, Smart Trim and soffits were installed by Lucas and Damien; two talented, hardworking and cheery lads. Mike installed Kayu hardwood on two feature areas and Abe did the cladding of some windows and doors. Both of these gentlemen are incredibly skilled craftsmen with decades of experience and it shows in their quality of workmanship. We also got new eaves and downspouts which were nicely done. Early on in the project, we had a hiccup and became concerned. John, the owner, stepped in and handled everything beautifully, putting our minds at ease, as he quickly remedied the issues with professionalism, good judgement and care. So, for that reason, the highlight of our overall positive experience with the entire project is awarded to John. Our 60 year old bungalow is now warmer, quieter and draft-free which is what we had hoped for but never expected to this extent. Lastly, we are very pleased with the appearance of our house and how the Boulevard team executed our design ideas. We are quite overwhelmed by the number of glowing compliments we have been receiving. Thank you Boulevard, for everything!

If there was a rating system for customers, you would receive ten stars. It has been a pleasure working with you on your James Hardie renovation. Combined with your self installed stone work and great colour choices your home is one of the best looking bungalow makeovers in Calgary. Thanks again for choosing Boulevard Exteriors

I called on a Sunday, early afternoon, with a completely plugged kitchen sink hoping to make an appointment for within the next few days (but really wishing a plumber could come today). Andy was at our home within the hour. Like other reviewers have said - he's terrific! He was friendly, polite, fast, clean, skilled, patient, fully equipped with tools, machines and replacement parts - he did a thoroughly perfect job. As it was a Sunday and the almost 3 hour job was arduous (and awful), we prepared ourselves for a pretty big bill, instead we were charged something completely fair. As he left, we told him he's our plumber for life, if he'll have us : )
