When our furnace stopped working in early March, Max was able to come within an hour to take a look. Our furnace is old but he never pressured us to replace it: he was able to repair it and give us advice on maintaining it. We would happily use his services again.

Sande was very helpful with the squirrels in my house. He patiently explained everything and took his time doing a thorough investigation of my roof. He identified and fixed several entry points, and even came back a week later when I was still hearing squirrels, and did additional work. I would highly recommend him.

The good things about Mr. Rooter: it's easy to set up an appointment with them, they come when they say they will, and they'll give you a free quote (no charge if you decide not to get the work done). We had two toilets that needed a tank rebuild (wonky flushing) and a leaky U-pipe to be replaced. They got it all done in about 90 minutes, and we were pleased with the quality of work. You'll also get an official invoice, and I was fairly confident that if we had issues later, the company would be responsive. The only downside was the cost. We probably would've gotten a better deal with an independent plumber, but that was the original route we tried and the guy (recommended by a friend) flaked out on us three times before we resorted to Mr. Rooter.

Derek is exactly what you want in an electrician: knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and reliable. We really appreciate that he fit us in even though it was a pretty small job (replacing a breaker, installing a GFCI, fixing a three-way light switch). He showed up when he said he would, did a great job (and explained things as he went, which was appreciated), and sent a professional receipt/invoice via email afterwards. A great experience and we'll happily hire him again.

Emran installed my new Bosch dishwasher and took away the old one. He showed up when he said he would and was done in under an hour. He took the time to walk me through the new dishwasher when he was done, and was friendly, polite, and professional. I would definitely recommend him.

I chose The Duct Cleaning Specialists because they were highly recommended on the HomeStars website, and now I know why! They were efficient and professional every step of the way. I really appreciated: -An invoice being sent as soon as I booked the service -A reminder a few days before the appointment -The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable: they explained what they were going to do and how long it would take, and went through the invoice to make sure I knew exactly what the cost would be The service ended up being a little less than quoted, because one of the ceiling fans I wanted cleaned was caulked to the ceiling (blame the previous owners for that!). They still vacuumed the outside of it, though, and didn't charge me for that, which I thought was very nice of them. They arrived when they said they would, took exactly as long as they estimated, and charged what we'd agreed on. And they left my place very clean. No hard sales/up-selling, either. Would definitely go with them again.

Veselin came to give us a free quote for a small roofing job and some eaves trough work. The job ended up being a bit more complicated than anticipated, due to shoddy work done by previous contractors. Although the job was slightly more expensive than the quote, Veselin took care to explain exactly why, and I'm confident that it was still a very competitive price for the amount and quality of work done. Veselin's crew were punctual, professional, and made sure not to leave behind any garbage or building materials. Veselin took before and after pictures of the roofing job so we could see the transformation for ourselves, which was great. A week or so after the job was done, I came home to find Veselin doing a small repair on my front pathway! He had said he'd return to patch up the site where the old downspout had been removed, but I certainly didn't expect him to also patch up the cracked concrete nearby. He definitely goes above and beyond! If you're looking for work done well at reasonable prices, Veselin is your man. I highly recommend him.
