Advanced Plumbing were able to fit me into their busy schedule for a burst pipe. They kept to their word and arrived pretty close to their estimated time. Professional and easy to talk with. They fixed our urgent problem and cleaned up afterwards. They even provided tips on future frozen pipe prevention and helped insulate an uncovered vent that may have been part of the problem. And they didn't ask me a 'thousand times' to write a review for them - which I'm finding more companies/individuals doing - necessary I guess, but gets tiring after while. For this, they certainly deserve praise and doing good work as promised. We'll definitely keep them in our address book for future use.

We decided to use Tony and ALBVision after he helped us last year with an emergency window fix. He came through again with flying colours and we couldn't be happier with our new burgundy coloured front door. It's perfect in style and installation. Tony and his team came at the time and date as promised. We're very happy with it and would definitely recommend him for any window or door job. He won't be seeing the last of us.

Can't dispute what other reviews have said. Great service and I had no issues with anything. The company appears honest and hardworking. I felt I was given the truth about our situation and they kept their promise to the word. Even when there were little extras that popped up like installing a toilet or extending the pipe further, they went over and above what I expected and took care of them. The crew was efficient and cleaned up nicely. I rarely say this, but I'd recommend Strong Plumbing. I'll certainly call them again if I need.

In short: Great product but poor customer service First impressions were good with Welda. Very nice salesperson and appeared to be knowledgeable. Signed contract and paid deposit on the first day. I was given assurances that he'd follow-up on getting a quote for my eavestroughs and letting me know a date the estimator would be by to take measurements. (I got neither) Long story shortened: I had to call and ask to speak to a manager twice because the salesperson wasn't responding to my calls re: questions. I clearly gave enough time for him to get back (almost 2 weeks) but no callback. After complaining, he finally did call and apologized that he had been hospitalized. Ok, fair...good excuse and I wished him good health, but there should be a backup system for sick employees. When I had almost the exact same problem a week later and no callbacks, I had to "again" ask to speak to a manager. This time the excuse was, "oh...he's just like that" Very poor excuse whether it was true or not. That being said, the managers were helpful but I shouldn't have to waste my time or theirs with trivial questions. You'd think that paying that much for a door would get you some basic customer service. Because I didnt' hear back, I had to hire another company to do my eavestroughs and will look elsewhere to get my front door done in the fall. I wish I could have just talked to the installer on the first day - he had the answers I wanted and did a very professional job on the installation of a wonderful door. I could elaborate on the greatness of this door, but my mood is muted by the extra hoops I had to jump through. Good customer service is part of the sale and keeps customers coming back. Unfortuantely, I likely won't be one of them.

I can relate to a lot of what the previous reviewers have written. The job and relationship with Paul started off well. I was really looking forward to writing a great review about this company. Initially they did a lot of work in a short period of time. Slowly, they started coming less and less. At one point he had a falling out with one of his sub-contractors, Alex. I’m sorry I didn’t get their number, because Alex had some excellent workers and their work was very professional. As soon as his team disappeared, the quality of work was inconsistent. Unique Basements had much going for it - A catchy name and a very friendly, well spoken contractor. Paul did have better vision and ideas than other people. He was pleasant and polite and after a long delay he did throw extras like door installation and extra paint. Unfortunately, the end result did not match the promises and professionalism that I signed up for. I put a lot of trust in Paul’s vision and expertise. The quoted project was stretching my family’s resources but we paid on time as agreed. I became alarmed and frustrated after paying out several thousand dollars and 'maybe' Paul or a worker would show up once in a week. The project was started in April and is still not complete. Aside from the money, and work not being completed was the stress of having my place look like a war zone for the spring and summer and at times having garbage piled up in my backyard for several months. After giving him one of his last payments, we lost all contact with him. I’m stuck with having to hire new people to finish the work that was not done. I’m giving a zero score because I’m still putting out money to finish this basement. ffranthur@yahoo.ca
