I found the Duct Cleaning Specialist through Homestars so I knew they had fantastic feedback from their clients. They met my expectations. They were polite and took the time to explain what they were doing. My only suggestion is that at time of booking they could mention that a large diameter hose would keep my door open and the would really cool down. Good to know when you have younger kids so you can make arrangements to have them be somewhere else.

I interviewed a number of different drywallers and Matt stood out from the others with his knowledge and geniune interest in doing his part in creating a beautifully finished basement for us. Although his pricing was not the lowest, I decided to go with him because of his knowledge, positive attitude, good communication skills and because I suspected that he was a bit of a perfectionist. Matt and his crew were polite, friendly, approachable and hard working. They worked a number of Saturdays and even a Sunday in order to finish the job in time for our holiday plans. After priming Matt identified a number of imperfections in the mudding that were then corrected. Many of these imperfections would be difficult to see to the untrained eye, and I could image that other drywallers would have left them unless I pointed them out. The final product looks fantastic and I would highly recommend Modern Konstruction. Thank you Matt and crew!

I found Chris on Homestars and after reading his reviews and meeting with him I knew he was the one I wanted to frame my basement. Chris is knowledgeable, skilled, enjoys his work and takes pride in his finished product. He is able to visualize completed spaces well and made great suggestions that we did not consider. He has an approachable, friendly personality which him a pleasure to work with. Chris, thank you for the job well done!

Sam was quick to respond to my phone call and we were able to sort out the details of the job quickly by email. He was able to schedule the work within my narrow timeframe. I was considering cutting a larger basement window in another location and Sam advised against it, as his trained eye could see that there had been previous issues with the foundation there. Sam knows his trade well, he is good communicator and I really appreciated his honesty. I would recommend Sam to anyone that is looking for mason work.

I would give our sales guy Sean a 10/10, the crew that did the installation a 5/10 and the Dieter the technician that came back to fix the problems left by the first crew a 10/10. The installtion crew initially drllled holes for the exhaust and intake lines 2 feet from our HRV intake. When I asked the tech what the code stipulated the minimum distance was, he did not know or have the code manual with him. He had to call his office to find out it was 6 feet. So the hole drilled through our foundation was unusable and need to be patched. Also, the air gaps were not sealed properly between furnace and ductwork and the cement used to hold the PVC intake pipe in the foundation did not set properly and crumbled. Sean promptly dealt with issues and Dieter stopped by on his way back from vacation to fix everything. Much appreciated, Thanks Dieter.

I asked Chris to install a BBQ rough-in, reroute the low hanging gas lines in our basement and provide more accessible shut-offs. His suggestions were well thought out and cost effective. Chris takes pride in how he completes his work. He perfomed calculations to ensure line diameter and run lengths would give me the BTU's we needed. Final product was neat and clean. Would recommend Chris to anyone looking for gas line work.
