Used Kepple's 3x previously--no complaints, great work on hardwood inlay and pattern. Salespeople, estimators and installers all professional the first 3x's. 4th time was a disaster. Spent $11K+ on carpeting including 2 staircases. From initial visit at Berlin store with what now appears to either be a new or incompetent saleswoman, to polite installers saying on site they couldn't do the inlay in hallway ,to the Kepple's owner having to show up at 6pm on 2nd day to show them how to cut the carpet with inlay for turned staircase(that the installer admitted he'd never done before to me as well as asking if I minded them being crooked?!?!), to the inlays on steps being a mess when all was completed(have photos)...They offered $300 off the bill. Didn't accept it. Wanted inlay on steps to match inlay on hall carpet and don't have it. Asked 6x for a copy of original bill--still haven't received it. Wanted it because even the measurement on stairs runners are not what we requested. Installers said saleswoman didn't know what she was talking about in regards to promises made on inlay. Saleswoman blamed us even though her record keeping was non existent. Saleswoman showed up at house 2x to do measuring even with a floor plan in hand and we even laid out the inlay with construction paper for her. Still she got measurements wrong. She had the audacity to tell us that we 'needed to get on the same page' when in fact she needed to listen and keep accurate records of her customer's orders. Would never recommend Kepple's Carpet--Flooring America. Daughter used Other installers and for a lot less money and no headache, got exactly what she ordered in a professional manner. We supposedly got the 'installer who is a perfectionist' according to the saleswoman. She talked like that was a bad thing. I told her point blank that it's what I expect!!! I'm paying them! But alas while the installer was in fact a decent guy who did a good job on the basic installing, he was out of his league in doing steps with turns and inlay work. Best advice--go elsewhere.
