These are the good guys. I've dealt with Joe since he worked for another (now bankrupt) company. He has gone above and beyond to ensure my system had parts needed to operate. Now that he's with Seasonal, I continue to use this company because of their ethics, professionalism, and knowledge.

I had to have a tenant's bathroom rodone as the existing shower/bath was peeling from a previous "reglaze" which I wouldn't recommend. The shower is oddly shaped, being tucked into a dormer roof. While the bathtub liner was a stock item, the shower/tub surround was entirely custom. The job was done in a day, and looks fine. My tenant is very happy, and he only had his bathroom messed up for a day. Much easier and cheaper than replaceing the tub and tile. The product is acrylic and does need to be cleaned using specific (but there are many widely available) cleaning products but this is standard for any acrylic product, and you'll scratch a new porceline tub with many products too.

I've had all the windows in my 1860 Cabbagetown Victorian semi replaced, as well as the front door. The front door is WONDERFUL, custom designed stain glass to complement the existing stain glass windows in the house, and the street front windows are leaded glass, bevelled, in thermal pane. The projects were done professionally and small problems were dealt with quickly. I have used this company on three separate occasions and would not hesitate to use them again.

Update on Hallowell Acadia heat pump: going into the 3rd heating season, the system is not working. I'm on emergency back up heat, and the people at Hallowell don't answer the phone when the tech from Enwise calls them for help. At this point I feel sorry for Enwise, they've lost money on this installation but in fairness to them they are still answering my calls. This whole thing has been a nightmare. So far I've not gone through a winter without having to have this unit fixed. The Rinnai tankless hot water heater is great.

I had used this company previously to install a wall bed and was reasonably satisfied with the result so I contracted them to install 2 more units. Both were suppose to be wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling. I was quoted as such. When the installers came the order was incorrect. One unit was floor-to-ceiling but not wall-to-wall, and the other was neither. When I contacted the office the company president threatened to sue ME if I didn't take the order as it was. I even offered to pay at cost for modifications to make the order right since the company insisted I was charged properly for the order as it was but they refused to even negotiate. The sales rep gave the excuse that his notes had been damaged when he was caught in a rain storm, but I did manage to photo-copy what notes he had, including the measurements to make one of the units floor to ceiling. God forbid he would have come back to do the measuring again instead of guessing and providing me with a botched order. To make matters worse, the installers damaged the ceiling while carrying in material. No offer to compensate was made. The president went on to say that he could not be responsible for an error made by an employee. Need I say anything more? I was forced to accept this order for reasons I will not get into here. Suffice it to say, I will NEVER deal with these unscrupulous people again, and I would advise everyone else not to either.

Company came back and installed additional cold air return. Now my house is 17 degrees while the thermostat is set at 19. They are claiming it is an air flow (inadequate duct work) problem, but the heat pump is not providing enough heat to the heat exchanger. The air coming out my vents is COLD. One more part is on order and they claim there is nothing they can do if this doesn't work. I'm ready to have the whole system removed after more service calls than I can count. The Acadia unit is not providing any useful diagnostic information and Hallowell (the manufactuer) has been of no help. I am beginning to feel like I'm about to be left out in the cold. Literally. My next step is on to The Star, or CTV consumer alert. I'll keep you all posted.

Sales person seemed very nice. I'd done my homework & wanted to eco-friendly, so chose Hallowell Acadia heat pump & Rinnai tankless hot water heater. Initial prices went up as I wanted to use the tankless hot water heater for backup. This required a manifold for heat exchanger. Fine, went with the install. This took 2 days since they forgot the equipment needed to charge the system. That would be OK except the installation team seemed incapable of closing the door behing them on a -14 C day. One would think that after they had removed my furnace keeping the door closed might be in order, never mind the fact that I'm in a downtown neighbourhood on a main street with a house full of stuff that could easily be taken when nobody is watching. After the install was finally done, the system started giving me error messages and reverting to emergency mode, running off the hot water heater. No savings there! After several escalating service calls, they finally determined the problem was an error in calculating the size of return air duct needed. They left saying they would be back when the necessary items arrived. That was in March. I've left several messages with the sales person asking what was going on and haven't even received the courtesy of a reply. I was also told that if any new rebates came available that Enwise would automatically apply for them on my behalf. The day the installation of the hot water heater Enbridge came out with their $300 rebate for going tankless. I've heard nothing from Enwise. After spending this much money with a company, I expect to receive much better service than this. I rate them a ZERO because they haven't met ANY of my expectations for a reputable firm. BEWARE!
