Hi, I saw this company doing a job at a house near me and so I went up to the door and asked how they did. The lady told me that she was very happy with them and so I decided to call and give them a try. Long and short of it is this, the guy called and told me he was on his way, arrived when he was suppose to. Nuno came in and set up immediately, then explained everything he was going to do, and went right to it. He also advised me to crate my cats so they wouldn't panic. (smart move) I couldn't have had a more polite, courteous young man, he did a very thorough job, then cleaned up and left. He also showed me a filter that I should have been changing but had no idea. I would hire these guys back in a heartbeat. Yes, they cost more than the fly by night "so called duct cleaners" that call and harass us, but in my opinion, in MOST cases... you get what you pay for. I was Leary to contact any duct cleaning company, but after speaking to the other person, I felt confident that they would do a good job, and I was NOT disappointed.

Steve and Linda were GREAT, upfront about the cost, didn't tell me he would try to fix it but no guarantees (like another company), he DID fix it! Even after this other company tried to Saba tosh the fridge & make the repair difficult, Steve was able to repair it. You get Steve and Linda, two very honest people, doing a GOOD HONEST JOB, I would highly recommend them to everybody. I know I will call them again should I need something else repaired. I called this company for my fridge, the water wasnt working. The guy showed up, replaced nothing, he went behind the fridge for maybe 15 minutes and handed me a huge bill of 360.00. I asked how much the hourly rate was and never got an answer. My fridge is still not fixed, I called and asked him to come back and they told me "we dont warranty service". I suggest that if you need an honest repair company, to search on Homestars first.

Jeet’s Review on Homestars The work that was done was quality work as far as the" building" of the cabinets go, spraying them was a different story. The paint job has not held up right from the beginning, In fact the doors and drawers showed up with a white haze on the inside of almost every single one of them, (which he later tried to "rub it off" with paint thinner) He also transported doors with no wrapping on them for protection, and of course upon arrival, there were numerous scratches that had to be "touched up," they looked horrible. The (owner/builder- Jeet) would call to see if you were home, tell you he was coming at a certain time, and then never never show up at all! Even on the occasions when he did show up, he often would stand around and talk, and then disappear having done nothing. We decided to hold back a VERY small part of the final balance, just to make sure that he would come back and finish our job properly, (our cabinets still have this white haze all over in many areas and there was a couple other little details that needed to be taken care of) we kind of were getting the feeling that he was bored with it and didn't really care to finish, he had new jobs on the go and they were more important than finishing up the current job. We never received a detailed bill, no warranty, absolutely nothing because he appeared to have a "temper tantrum" after we with held a few hundred dollars (which you never pay until a job is complete anyway!) On the plus side, like I said, the actual construction of the cabinets is solid, they are well built, and he did go above and beyond a few times, by coming to help move the fridge back in place for us, and installing our microwave above our stove for us, neither of those things were his responsibility to do, but he did, and that was a plus on his behalf. He also had very competitive pricing.

I pretty much randomly picked Carolos Upholstery to do my chair, and talk about being the RIGHT man! A very HONEST, RELIABLE, gentleman that takes PRIDE in his work, look no further, his work wpeaks for itself.

The trouble started right after paying in full, a mistake I will never make again. We had one large room to carpet, it required two large pieces of carpet to be cut, with one seam running down the middle of the room. Well, The date of installation came ...and went, and they never showed up, when I called, they didn't even appologize, just said they'd be there tomorrow. Tomorrow came & went, and the same story, finally the next day they came...but with only ONE piece of carpet! After calling & asking where the rest was, he assured me he would load it up and be right over with the installers. (we are a 15 minute drive away...they showed up 3 hours later, and when they did, the guys came strutting in with 6 strips of carpet. I asked what he was doing with those, and he said that was the rest, there were going to now be SIX seems, running in all kinds of different directions! (we didn't pay for SCRAP carpet!), even their installers said that it wasn’t the correct way to install it, and they said that if I wanted to get carpet from guys they knew, that they would give us a good deal & install it the proper way for us. I called the store and said this is not being installed like this, and there will be only ONE seem. I told the guys to take back all the strips of carpet and bring me the right piece, but they had to deliver other carpet and wouldn’t be able to take it back and return the same day. I called the manager back and told him that I wanted my deposit back and that I was going to get carpet elsewhere and have his installers put it in, well he flipped, he told me he wasn’t giving us our money back, and I think he even fired the installers for trying to take the job, because he said that he would take care of everything the next day, when the next day came, he scrambling trying to find somebody to do it. He made several calls and was finally able to reach an independent guy that use to work for them, and he said that he would do this one job as a favor, but it would have to be the next morning. The guy showed up the next morning, and so did a delivery with the same six pieces of scrap carpet!! They re-delivered the same scrap!! I made yet another phone call to the manager and asked him where my one piece of carpet was, then Tony (the new installer) took the phone and told him that he couldn’t work with that, and wasn’t installing it like that . The manager got very angry and said he would be over here within fifteen minutes. When he showed up, I was in the basement with the carpet installer and he was telling me that he stopped working for Livingston’s because they cut corners all the time and wern't honest, and he just couldn't work like that, but they were stuck for an installer and begged him to come do this of job for them). Well the manager came STORMING into our house, he didn't ring the door bell, he just walked right in, stomped down the hall with his boots on, ran downstairs and started to SCREAM at me! He was BEAT RED, and I actually thought the man was going to hit me! Tony (the carpet installer), told the manager that he refused to install the carpet in the manor of which he was suggesting with 6 seams, and it was just wrong. Finally Tony got on his cell and called the owner of the company and told him what was going on. After a lengthy call, the owner asked to speak to me, he apologized for what had gone on with everybody, & promised me that he would get the other piece over and have Tony take care of me. As for the manager (whom is the owners buddy), well he threw another yelling tantrum & ran up our stairs swearing like a trooper and slammed my door on his way out. What a peachl! The next morning our ONE piece of carpet showed up & so did Tony again. He told me not to worry, & promised me that he would do an excellent job… and THAT IT WAS!! If it wasn't for Tony standing up for us, who knows how this would have all turned out. I can’t tell you where to buy carpet, but I can tell you where I wouldn’t after this experience, clearly not Livingstons. They say that out of every bad situation comes some good, and the good thing that we have taken out of this horrible experience, is that we’ve found an “excellent” carpet installer, He is honest, has integrity, and does impeckable work!! I had 7 companies here to give me quotes, the highest was $1500.00 and the lowest one came in at $800. after a bit of dealing, (and this price included the stumps being ground out. They came at 8am with 6 big men and the boss Virginia came on sight to greet me & get the guys going. She said she would be back to check on their work when they were nearly done. This crew of men were highly trained and knew exactly what they were doing! They all worked extremely hard and worked very efficiently as team, even the way they cleaned up was impressive! When they were just about finsihed, as promised, the boss Virginia returned to make sure the job was done to her high standards. An EXCELLANT EXCELLANT company, you will not be disappointed.
