This basement reno was pretty complex with a kitchen, 2 baths and 2 bedroom. Shawn impressed us so much with his professionalism and quality of work. I would recommend him to anyone looking to finish a basement.
When Shawn came the first night to get measurements of the house, and explained to us the process of what was to happen next. He explained to us once we decided on a design he would make all the arrangements for us for permits, post holes and the locates to ensure there were no gas lines. Since we were building over an existing concrete pad we were really unsure of what we wanted in a deck so Shawn provided us with 3 different deck designs. After a few revisions we finally decided on a deck design. It was so helpful to know exactly what the deck was going to look like. The deck took a little over 2 weeks to build due to weather, but Shawn always kept us in the loop as to when he was coming and when he wouldn't be there. I never had to guess if he was going to show up or not. After the construction Shawn showed us the small grove under the hand railing he cut to allow for moisture to drip off the railing. I guess this prevents the railing from rotting over time. Who knew! Our deck turned out amazing and the quality can be seen. We didn't know this at the time when we booked with Shawn but he only uses screws and will not nail his decks to ensure his decks last. I was shocked when Shawn said they offer a 5 yr warranty on workmanship on his decks. We were impressed with Shawn's professionalism during the construction of our deck, that we later had him build our shed.
