I've bought several things from them and have been happy. They are always willing to take a few dollars off the lowest advertised price. Prompt delivery and set-up. Most recent purchase was a washer and dryer.

I explained to the service person that arrived that the rugs had pet stains and I wanted them to be thoroughly cleaned. I also asked that two other rugs be cleaned at home when he arrived. As I did not expect him to have time to do this on the first appointment, I requested that he set up a second appointment to do the in-home cleaning. This took place on Monday, June 14. He informed me that he would return either Thursday or Friday to do the in-home cleaning. He took the two rugs without leaving a receipt or estimate and left. I received no further call to set up this second appointment. No one showed up either day. When I called the office, I spoke to a woman named Sue who claimed she knew nothing about this second appointment. I was very upset at this, as I had waited at home both days without receiving a call to confirm a time. She told me they would come out on Tuesday, June 22 to perform the job and return the other two rugs. However, I decided to change my mind on the in-home cleaning and asked someone else to come on Monday to do this. On Tuesday, Metro returned the other two rugs. They appeared not to have been cleaned at all. Not only were the stains still present, but the rugs still smelled of pet urine. In addition, I had sprinkled carpet deodorant underneath one of the rugs and when the rugs were returned, I noticed the powder was still present. This indicates to me that absolutely nothing was done. He charged me $105 for this. When I noticed this, I called the office and he informed me that he did not clean them in the proper manner because he thought I was unable to pay for them. I had never said or implied anything of that sort. Do not use these imbeciles under any circumstances!!!!!!!!!!!

First, the bad news: Hugh only does moves along the 401 corridor between Ottawa /Montreal and London (possibly Windsor). But if you happen to be in his niche market, he is excellent. Very personable, good crew at each end, and extremely good with stacking if you are putting anything in storage. Price was very reasonable given the volume, distance and time. He only charges by the hour, not by distance or weight.

Mid to somewhat higher end line with both contemporary and traditional styles. The object I bought was 33% off due to being discontinued by the factory. Since it was a floor model and final sale, the staff was very helpful in moving it around for me to check for defects. Delivery was very prompt and smooth. The only quibble I have is that the sales person did not seem very knowledgable about the merchandise or the manufacturers. For example, she said it was made in the US when I found out it was actually Canadian made after looking up the company in Wikipedia.

Called them to install a local network with just two nodes. Could not get connectivity and service person was not well trained and seemed fresh off the boat. He claim modem was old and computer needed cleaning up. A tech. at our previous address in Ottawa connected this system successfully. Out $40 without any result. These people are worthless - don't hire them.

The buffet and hutch were for my apartment kitchen as opposed to the dining area, as I needed space there. The pieces were almost solid wood, well made and very well designed. I have one quibble with them on delivery policy. The salesperson explained that delivery did not include "assembly." By that, I took it to mean that I had to screw the glass doors on the hutch myself. In fact the pieces were delivered FULLY assembled, but the delivery people said they were not allowed to unbox them or set them up. Doing this and disposing of the packaging took almost two hours. The pieces were quite heavy but we got them out eventually without damage. The language used by the salesperson was incorrect - he should have stated that delivery did not include "setup." Also this policy is very limiting for the retailer, as an elderly person or even a smaller person living alone would not be able to deal with it for larger furniture items. If they do not figure set-up in their delivery price, they should offer it optionally at additional cost and thus inform the customer.
