Peter and his team were extremely helpful in making the recommended updates to our electrical throughout our house which resulted in us receiving a full electrical certification. Their pricing was great in comparison to many other quotes and they took the time to come out and review what was required before finalizing their quote. Overall we were very satisfied and have already reached out to their company for some additional minor electrical work. A couple of months ago we got 5 windows installed and we were really happy with the results. Gabor was the sales rep that originally met with us and he was extremely friendly and took the time to explain the benefits of the various windows. He even suggested NOT replacing some of the windows we had in the house which was great and showed that he wasn't just trying to sell us more than was needed. My only concern was having to call in a number of times to check on the install dates due to the rainy season this year. I would have expected the company to reach out once they suspected that there were going to be delays. Overall we were happy with the final results.

We had a really bad cockroach infestation after we rented out our basement. It wasn’t until we saw a few of them make their way upstairs that we realized how bad it really was. We called in PestoKill and Ya Ya came to the rescue. He was very thorough and explained everything that he was doing. He performed a combination of a spray along the baseboards and powder in all the cupboards which covered a total of two kitchens and all three floors of our house. In addition, for the mice he set out a bunch of traps throughout the house and closed up one of the entry points from outside. In addition to getting the job done I think we’ve gained a new friend. John and team came and installed 15 potlights in our home within a 3 hour period. From start to finish their service was on point. They were clean, efficient and his crew was extremely friendly. We received a quote from 3 companies and Duraroc came in with a cost somewhere in the middle. They came in and gave us an initial quote and we set up a date and time for them to come in and get the work done. We worked with them to come up with an additional design that we liked and overall the final product looked great. One of our kids even left a little foot print just after the work was done and a rep came back the next day to fix it up and you would never know there was an issue. Overall, on time and on budget!

After noticing that my window wells were filling up like fish tanks (smh) I went to Homestars to find the right contractor for the job of replacing them, repairing any cracks in outer foundation and ensuring that the drainage was working as it should. After getting estimates from a number of contractors I chose DryShield because Peter took the time to explain how the job was going to be done and the materials that would be used in order to ensure that the job lasts (warranty and all). In addition, the price was right! The crew that came to do the job was friendly and got both windows done within the same day. The only thing that I wasn’t expecting was that there would still be piles of dirt left over just outside the windows that I would have to wait to eventually settle over a couple of rain falls. Maybe that’s something to give the home owners a heads up about in advanced. I guess in hindsight it kind of makes sense but I just wasn’t prepared for my backyard being left fully open. After reading many of the Homestars reviews and doing some comparison pricing with around 5 other companies we decided to go with Accu-Star. When their rep Terrence first came out he was extremely friendly and recommended the best strategy to get everything cleaned up, remediated and at the most affordable cost. In addition the two man crew that came to do the job was just as friendly, courteous and did an amazing cleanup job, on time and on budget. Even their admin Alysha was friendly and helpful in ensuring all of the scheduling was sorted out appropriately.
