We were extremely disappointed with the workmanship and customer service of Kenny Williams Construction. Kenny's brother Dale came out to write the contract for both a deck and basement project. Dale communicated and itemized things in email that he didn't include on the contract. For instance he told us warranty would be 5 years but Kenny said it would only be 1. We had to argue to get the 5 years. Dale told us they would finish the wet bar for us in the basement but because we weren't sure where the placement for the bar would be, he just wrote out "plumbing rough in" on the contract and told us we could decide where to put the wet bar once framing was up and Kenny led us to believe that he would finish everything but failed to do so. In retrospect, all along he never wanted to help us install the wet bar for whatever reason, even though we were willing to pay. He deceived us to our face and told us he'd be back to install the cabinets for our wet bar, he never showed up for 3 weeks. We called him twice and he never returned our calls. Finally, because one evening we were in the basement we discovered a door frame wasn't attached at all for a closet and almost hit me in the head, we had to call him a 3rd time and told him he had to return to attach the door frame, it was a safety issue so he finally came back. We were surprised Loudoun County Inspection didn't catch this either. Since Feb. of 09 Kenny said he'd install a gate for our deck outside because we wanted it for safety reasons, well it's April, no gate. Kenny is very two faced. We did an online search on multiple sites to see if we could find a review and came up with nothing. I finally found something on this community HOA forum AFTER we used them :( http://www.broadlandshoa.org/hoaforum/showthread.php?p=73886 (check it out!!!) In addition, both Dale and Kenny are extremely nice in the beginning but once the project almost neared completion he was difficult to communicate with and would not return phone calls. There were MANY small items he promised he'd do for us but they never were done. We were extremely disappointed with him in the communication department and he basically took the last check and never came back to install the gate or the wetbar and among the other small items he told us he'd do. I also called 5 different references that Dale provided and YES, they all gave great reviews and told me how wonderful they were. Well, I came to realize this is the same list they give to every potential customer and the references were the people they were actually nice to so they could help him out in gaining new customers.
