I called 3 companies including Enercare for quotes and Pioneer was the best for price. Waseem was very knowledgable and accommodating without being pushy. The installation went smoothly even though new venting pipes had to be installed. I did some research on the Napoleon 2 stage furnace they carried. They claim it is "whisper quiet" and it really is. The basement tenant that lives next to the furnace room is very appreciative. Overall a very good experience in spite of the Covid lockdown.

We have a basement cold room that was damp when it rains. We realized we needed an internal foundation drain to channel the water away. The approximate length of the wall that needed to be waterproofed was about 22 -25 feet. We called The Crack Doctor on recommendation from friends. The person I talked to was very professional and knowledgable. He gave us a verbal estimate right away over the phone and explained to us all the options. Their price was very competitive and they seemed very honest and didn't try to "up sell" us . The two men that showed up were very professional and clean. I checked on the internet on how a proper foundation drain should be installed and they actually did do everything right. They finished the job within the day. They were clean and conscientious and cleaned up. It's been over 4 months (that included lots of rain) and the room is absolutely dry. We now use the room to store furniture, misc. stuff and food supplies without concern for dampness and old. It's great to be able to use this extra space now. I should've taken care of this sooner.

I called TLP based on the comments on Homestars. I'm happy to say that they're all accurate. Barbara was the contact by email and on the phone and she was really courteous and punctual with her quotes. We needed to replace a crumbling brick patio with stone, replace a bottom section of the house with stone and also install stone and limestone sills around a bay window. Dave was no nonsense and very knowledgable. He gave us accurate quotes and he looked for alternatives to fit our budget. When the crew started the job they stayed on the job until it was finished. They were punctual and courteous and cleaned up after each day. I especially felt very confident that they'll stand behind their 20 year guarantee. There were certain features of the job that they insisted on that helped them keep the guarantee. We've had bad experiences with another mason and this time we didn't want to take any chances. Great job and good people to work with. Thanks
