We spent 6 months building a home. The day before closing Avatar's mortgage company had a last minute condition of "pay off your car loan". We only had enough money left, after meeting condition after condition of "paying off" things, to pay for the closing. Therefore, we could not close on the house, had boxes to the ceiling, no place to live, and they refused to give us back our deposits. First they agreed to return them, 30 days later, sent us a letter that said NO deposits will be returned. Hiring an attorney NOW!! Do not waste your time or money!!!!
