My kitchen sink drain was clogged and there was some leaking from the pipe under the sink. Also, I had recently replaced the faucet and accidentally switched the hot and cold water connections. I was going to fix this myself, but since Eitan from McPipe was coming to fix the clog, I asked him to switch the connections as well. Eitan was polite, professional, and did the job quickly. He was reasonably priced, showed up when he said he would, and cleaned up the area well beyond expectations. He also made suggestions to prevent the clog from happening again. I would highly recommend Eitan and McPipe plumbing.

This was the second time I have used the services of Strong Plumbing. I was very happy with the outcome both times. Valentin was able to come the next day after calling him to fix a clogged drain in our bathroom sink. He let me know what he planned to do and went the extra mile to fix the problem. In just over an hour we had new plumbing and water flowing smoothly. I would gladly recommend Strong Plumbing and plan to use their services again any time I am in need.

After years of talking about wanting to re-do our backyard and turn it into our own little oasis, we finally decided to move forward with it this year. In early spring we called about 10 different landscaping companies in total, many saying they were already booked up for the year or didn't bother to call us back. We eventually were able to get a few quotes, including one from Pro-Loc, and we are very happy that we took the time to keep searching. Paul showed up when he said, and went over our plans. He made some great suggestions and was very open to providing a quote based on a few different portions of the project. We had been contemplating doing the raised bed gardens ourselves and decided to go this route. We hired Pro-Loc to create a beautiful patio area for our family so that we could eat meals outside and also just relax and enjoy our space. We also had them rip up our old, weed-infested lawn, and replace this with new sod. In addition, they took up some ground and added gravel at the side of our house to improve water flow. See before and after pictures below. Paul had said they would be able to start early August and sure enough they were there August 1st! They completed the whole job in under 2 days and made some great suggestions and improvements as they worked. We are very happy with our new back yard. Thank you Paul and Pro-Loc!

Hey joe! Thanks for the great review! Things were a little tricky since you couldn't be there when we were installing your work, but You made it easy for us by being available on the phone when needed! Thanks again!

My basement carpet had started to push upward in some sections and I finally decided to do something about this. I e-mailed Victorious and Mark got back to my e-mail quickly. He was even able to give me a rough quote based on the dimensions and pictures I provided. Once I decided to go ahead, his crew was able to come the next day. They did a great job and it is now nice and smooth. They even worked around some tricky sections without making a tear. This goes to show you have to hire someone good in the first place to do the job right. I would call Mark again if I needed a new carpet, straightening or a repair.

I dropped my wedding ring down our bathroom sink drain, and while I was fortunately able to fish it out, I damaged the drain in the process, as the trap could not be replaced. I left a message with Strong Plumbing and was contacted very quickly. Valentin made arrangements to repair the drain the very next morning at 6:45am. Valentin arrived early, with a smile on his face and greeted me by name. He immediately recognized what needed to be done and quoted me a price, letting me know that he would try to replace only one portion of drain, but that an additional part might need to be replaced if the upper portion leaked, as sometimes occurs once it is removed (which I had to do to get to my ring). After replacing the part, Valentin ran the water for a long time to ensure everything was good and showed me that there was a minor leak in the upper part of the drain, so an replacement part would be needed. He replaced this with a high quality part, and in fact all the parts he used were higher quality than the originals. The drain trap he used also had a larger opening and would be easier to open should something be lost down the drain in the future. I would gladly call Valentin again if I have a plumbing problem!

We hired Consumer's Choice to replace all the windows in our home and were pretty happy with the job they did. The price was reasonable and the windows looked nice. The only issue we had was that almost all of the window frames were left with many unfilled nail holes. The workers explained to my wife that this was not part of the job, which I was surprised at but took at face value. This started to nag at me after a while, however I felt that too much time had passed and I would eventually need to do this myself. Fast forward 3-4 years later. This was a job I just never got around to, and when we decided to replace our back patio door, I asked the salesman, Peter, about this. He said that this absolutely should have been done when the windows were installed. We agreed to have our door replaced by Consumers Choice and Peter promised that the installers would also fill the nail holes the same day. Unfortunately, when the installers arrived they were unable to also fill the nail holes as this was not on the work order, nor did they have the materials with them to do the job. The door was well installed and looks good, however the original job was still not completed after two visits. We followed up with Peter and he assured us he would have this resolved. After many calls back and forth Peter let me know that Consumers Choice would only do this for an additional $65 charge. After spending many thousands of dollars and being promised this would be remedied for no additional cost, this was a major disappointment. Peter apparently tried his best, but nobody would help. My calls to customer service went unanswered, and in my last call to Peter I let him know that if this wasn't resolved by the end of the week, this would be reflected in my Home Stars review. I didn't get a call back, so I guess they don't care. I take partial blame for not following up on this sooner. Consumers Choice did have two opportunities to finish this job (originally with the window install, then with the door install), and despite many promises to do this, it was never completed. Instead, I had to spend my own time filling and sanding over 100 holes. It may be considered minor, but it is the principle of the matter. The job wasn't finished to satisfaction and was never remedied when they had multiple chances. Overall, their work is good, but their customer service and trustworthiness is not so good, with an unfinished job and unfulfilled promises. *** Update: I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Stan, one of the owners, who listened to my concerns and did everything he could make up for the previous errors. He offered to fill in all the nail holes, however since I had already done so, he gave me a credit on my Visa for the equivalent charge for this service. This is a company that takes customer service seriously and aims to rectify problems once they are known. Unfortunately, the salesperson had not communicated everything that was discussed, but the owner made things right. After this more recent experience, I would recommend Consumers Choice and would hire them again. I would just be sure to escalate any issues up to Stan, as he definitely wants to ensure his customers are fully satisfied.

Thank you, Joe, for your review.
We are quite pleased that you are very satisfied with the windows that we installed for you approximately 4 years ago, with the exception of the nail holes in your new wood casing trim that were not filled in.
As per our recent telephone conversation, this was not reported to Consumer's Choice until recently. You also confirmed that you signed the completion certificate indicating your extreme satisfaction with the quality of your windows/installation and, in fact, complimented both of the installers by writing "Luca & Bato did a fantastic job! I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and workmanship".
We thank you again for your recent order last July and your confirmation of being very pleased with the outcome, with the exception of the exposed nail holes from your initial order, from 4 years ago, not being filled in. We apologize and the only explanation we can offer is that, by clerical error, your request was not put on the work order.
We are pleased with your confirmation that the service issue has now been resolved and that you would definitely recommend Consumer's Choice to your family and friends and use our services on your next home improvement needs.

Yours sincerely

Based on the great reviews on HomeStars, I called Cozy World when our air conditioner stopped working at the start of the past summer. They arrived when they said, gave us a reasonable quote for a new air conditioner, and installed it professionally. We have been very satisfied with their work. They also realized that a circuit board was not functioning properly, and came back to replace this within a couple of days. Overall, we were satisfied with their work and wouldn't hesitate to call Cozy World again.

I came home to a freezing house and after checking the fuses and furnace knew there was a big problem. I called a few places but nobody was able to come until the next day, until I called AFG. Rafi let me know he could be there within 2 hours and would call when he was on his way. Within about 20 minutes he had called back to let me know he would be there in 20 minutes. Rafi arrived and looked over everything in detail, realizing that the motor was dead. He explained how it was supposed to operate and what the problem was. Since the parts place was closed for the night, he said he would call me the next day to see if it was available. The part wasn't available until the next day following, and Rafi showed up when he said and got everything working and the house heating up in no time. We also had a pump overflow due to a problem with a valve, which Rafi will be replacing for us soon. I did have to follow up with Rafi over the phone a couple of times as he was quite busy with "no heat" calls during that time. That was fine though, as he was always prompt and professional. I would definitely call AFG again in the future.
