Having a metal roof installed on your home is like putting a helmet on your house. Many of the homes in my neighbourhood have had new roofs installed yet none of them look as good as mine nor will they last as long. Yes, it is a lot of money to spend but down the road I am convinced that it will be considered money well spent. The crew showed up on time every day, cleaned up after themselves, finished the job within the specified time frame and even installed more snow guards than was originally specified.

OGS Landscape Services was contracted to install a water feature including waterfall, bog area and minimum depth three foot pond on our property. The work was completed within the initial two week time estimate but depleting water levels indicated a leak somewhere in the liner. As it turned out there were numerous leaks attributed to the careless work of an employer on his last day of work for the company. It took several visits over a two year period to get the water loss to a reasonable level but when we opened the feature during the spring of 2012 the water loss was at such a level as to require shutting down the waterfall aspect of the feature completely. Mike, the installer, continued to work with me to determine the source of the water loss and, as each problem was identified, he corrected the situation in a timely and professional manner.

Paradisaic was contracted to design and build a pagoda utilizing the South American hardwood, ipe. Initial construction estimate was two weeks but since ipe is a very dense, very hard, very difficult material to work with construction actually took two months. Since the garden has a three foot deep pond it was necessary to install gates enclosing the property. Select cedar was specified for the gate construction but fence grade cedar was used instead. Unhappy with the gates I contracted with Paradisaic to replace them with ipe gates. After more than two years the cedar gates, which are now falling apart, have yet to be replaced even though Paradisaic received a deposit on the replacement contract.

Thomasville furniture has long been regarded for it's quality of workmanship which is why I selected them when refurnishing the home. However, their after sales service leaves much to be desired. First, only part of one order was delivered and a piece was so severely damaged that it had to be replaced. Only after re-visiting their store and venting my frustrations on the manager was the second order scheduled for delivery even though it had been sitting in their warehouse for more than a month and they had exacted full payment weeks previously. When this furniture was delivered there were a few small scratches which they told me their technician would repair. That was three months ago and even after repeated phone calls to just about everybody in the organization, nobody has bothered to contact me about these repairs. In these times of economic distress it would seem to me that keeping customers satisfied would be a higher priority.
