Horrible service. Purchased a 30 pane cleaning on Groupon. Service was scheduled over two months out (that gives the company enough time to claim payment from Groupon) and they ask for taxes and a payment processing surcharge with extensive documentation. Team never showed up on the schedule date and did not provide a response until I followed up. When they showed up a week later they sneaked away after only completing 2 panes. When they were stopped they suggested that I contact the office to purchase additional service to get the best result. After a couple of attempts to get the service completed Mark indicated that he would not have his team complete the service and that I should follow up with Groupon for a refund. Groupon refused to refund my money. I am now out of pocket for the service and at the end of the season with no window panes washed. Horrible service.

I did a search online for a plumber and Presco came up. Terrence said he’d be there within an hour. He was just a few minutes late, but it wasn’t a problem. There was a leak in a fresh water pipe so we needed him figure out the problem and fix it, so that’s what he did. I was pretty happy with his work. I thought the prices were a little on the high side, but since he was able to fix the leak I was satisfied. I’ve already recommended him to a friend.

The quotation went well. The salesman assured me that the price covered all material and labour. On the date of the install the installer decided that I needed to pay additional as they needed to install additional layer of subfloor. Once that was finalized the isntall went well. The only downside is that they grossly overestimate the hardwood required. They made me pay for almost 5 additional boxes of hardwood. The installer then took these back but I never did get a credit for the excess hardwood. The installation was satisfacory but it appeared that there was some degree of gouging.

The quotation process went quite well. From then on it was downhill. The day the install was supposed to occur I took time off but with a 10minute rain the installer did not show citing the rain as a hinderance. He was prepared to install on a date I was not physically present at the premises but kept making excuses to install when I was able to get time off and be home. He informed me that warranty on parts and labour was provided so long as I got the system closed and opened by his company. When I had a problem with the rains sensor he only came to look at it the day they came to close the system and indicated that the senor was not faulty and he would look at it in the spring. In the summer the following year when a sprinkler head began to leak, he refused to repair it under warranty and forced me to pay for the repair. From then I stopped any further service as the warranty was not being covered. I would not recomend this contractor to anyone.

The salesman visited my home and made recomendations on the humidifier I needed and why. He answered my questions and provide all the details I required and then arranged for the installer to contact me and set up an appointment. The installer contacted me within couple of days and then set up a weekend appointment. He arrived on time, Completed the install in under and hour. Showed me how to operate the equipment and how to shut it off when I would have to at the close of the season. He also explained what maintenance would be neccessary. After I was satisfied, he had me sign the paperwork and left.

Empire Today sent in a sales representative who was quite corteous but apparently lacked complete training about the product. He claimed that the 60% off was only on carpets and claimed that the price of hardwood that Empire Today was offering could not be compared to other available retailers as no other retailer sold this product... I cannot confirm this. Apparently the claims on their TV advertisments imply a price that is nowhere close to what they actually quote. It also implies that the discount is on hardwood, carpet and laminate but that was not the case. On the day of the installation the installer shows up at the agreed time. Problem is that the sales rep's manager is apparently disatisfied with the price that was quoted. He now starts renegotiating with me and has put in a new requirement that the hardwood needs a subfloor to be installed with additional costs. Interestingly enough the sales rep already checked the floor under the existing carpet (from the air conditioning vent and was quite certain that no subfloor installation was required). The hardwood requirement is calculated to include wastage (which is logical). The installer basically installs the flooring and saved two boxes of hardwood, which he then promptly informed me was what they would take back. To date no refund has been provided to me for this excess hardwood that was taken back. Your guess is as food as mine as to what this excess hardwood is use for. They speak about warranties but quite conveniently fail to provide the documentation to support these warranties. I would stay well away from them.
